I find many things interesting about mormonism but I really can take the rejection of scientific facts. If you are a mormon scientist, maybe you can explain to me how do you reconcile your faith with science. Do your clergy accept your belief in scientific theories?

Hello everybody, something is weighing heavily on my mind and I need your ideas/thoughts. I am a Christian and I got saved in 1996, but before I got saved I disobeyed my parents at the age of 16 and the result of that disobedience was a pregnancy that I tried to hide from everybody. I didn't know what to do and where I am from, it is like a taboo to have a child out of wedlock and so 6 months into the pregnancy, I was found out and my step mother took me to a doctor who said he could get me to physically give birth and I said yes and my labor was induced and after almost 8 hours the fetus was born. I've prayed to God since then to forgive me and I know He has but I can't help feeling that He is still angry with me. I am now a married woman and I have been trying for over 4 and a half years to concieve but I can't. All the doctors me and my husband have seen in the US all say I am okay and he is okay. Am I right in thinking that maybe God has not forgiven me?

Then is it wrong that several of the JW girls in my office accept Christmas bonuses from our boss? These aren't bonuses based on production, but are intended to help people buy gifts.

I don't understand why they deny that Jesus was crucified. It was the widely used method of execution in the Roman Empire. Do they believe that anyone died on a cross? Or were crucifixions simply nailing someone to a straight pole?

WIll you theists believe my claim at face value or do you need some extraordinary evidence for my extraordinary claim?

Would you need any sort of irrefutable, tangible proof in order to believe me or would you simply take me as your God, the Creator of All Things, simply out of faith?

You frequently mock atheists for their "lack of faith" and their almost sick thirst for proof.

What about your "lack of faith" regarding my Godliness?

I just read an answer where someone said that global warming was not a fact...
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070409091443AAy27gz&r=w&pa=FZptHWf.BGRX3OFMhjJUUzgWohUGgF_AAZ22MBAotbUlD7K6azSAnDFnWbcr.LE38m9nAZgPg81PInqLrQ--&paid=answered#EcAuDzS1WDfKIC725Zt7b5l0znzHEG9wCMyYx7BF2qTEBLZ0lRUs

it's on there if you want to read it.

But my question is: We know the polar ice caps are melting. We know that weather patterns are changing. We know that water temperatures are higher. I thought at this point we all agreed that global warming is actually happening and I thought the only thing that was still uncertain is whether or not humans are causing it or it's a natural phenomena. Am I wrong about this?? And I know I'm in the wrong category but I'm a regular here and I want to know your opinions not some other category's.

"And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed."

I found this verse in Acts 13:48.

Notice that it does not say '...all were ordained to eternal life believed' but "...as many as were ordained believed."
This verse seems to say that one must be chosen or elected by God to be saved. It also intimates that one must be under the hearing of the word in order for the Lord to save the person ie., "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Is this correct?

More than anything, I believe that the good in people's hearts is the most powerful force on the earth, (followed in close second by the hate in people's hearts)

Will you help prove me right by committing a random act of kindness today? Every one you do cancels out a little act of rudeness or hatred or neglect. Thank you.

With GOD?
Why do you think people need a Organized religion to have a relationship with GOD?

GOD does not need a religion otherwise he would gave the first man and woman a religion to follow.

Jesus Christ was a Jew because that is the only religion that believed in a Monotheistic GOD, and since he was GOD in the flesh did he expect people to follow any religion or just follow his teachings without religion?

Maybe Jesus was trying to teach what GOD had intended the first man and woman to folllow in the Garden..
Thoughts?
