I'm doing a womens event called "Into the Garden" and I had an idea to use a scripture as my tag line but I can't think of one that is appropriate. Can you think of any?

4 Gardens in Scripture-

1. Lucufer's garden of Eden- before Adam, where sin originated among the angels and pre-adamites (Ezekiel 28:11-17; Jeremiah 4:23-26). It is to be noted that Lucifer and the 'third part of the stars of Heaven' were cast out of Heaven for rebellion against God.

2. Adam's garden of Eden where sin was contracted by man for his disobedience to God. Where sin originated with the Adamites (Genesis 2:8-3:24). Satan had already fallen before this time.

3. Garden of Gethsemane where Satan was defeated and the cross assured (Matthew 26:36; John 18;1).

4. Garden of resurrection where Christ triumphed over sin, death, hell, and the grave (John 19:38-42; Revelation 1:18). This is Joseph's garden, where Christ was laid. This is where he arose.

Eden (2:3)

Hebrew- Eden, pleasures; the Septuagint reads 'paradise' (Ezekiel 31:9, 16, 18; Joel 2:3).

4 Paradises in Scripture-

1-2. Eden is generally referred to as a paradise by scholars because the Hebrew 'pardace' is translated 'orchard' (
song of Solomon 4:13; Eccleciastes 2:5) and 'forest' (Nehemiah 2:8), and seems to describe the garden (Genesis 2:8-17).

3. Paradise in the third Heaven- Where God's throne is (2 Corinthians 12:1-4; Revelation 2:7).

4. Paradise under the earth where the righteous were held prisoner against their wills (Luke 16:25, and 23:43 with Matthew 12;40; Ephesians 4:8-10; Hebrews 2:14-15) until Christ led captivity captive (Psalms 68:18; Ephesians 4:8-10) with witnesses to this truth of those that were known to be dead were seen 'physically' walking around (Matthew 27:52-63). This area is no longer needed and is now part of sheol-hades (hell).

Also Song of Solomon 6:11 " I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded".

Hope this helps.

The garden at Gethsemane, literally “oil-press,” is located on a slope of the Mount of Olives just across the Kidron Valley from Jerusalem. A garden of ancient olive trees stands there to this day. Jesus frequently went to Gethsemane with His disciples to pray (John 18:2). The most famous events at Gethsemane occurred on the night before His crucifixion when Jesus was betrayed.

Jesus and the His disciples went to a garden called Gethsemane (pronounced: geth-si-ma-nee) after the Last Supper. Here Jesus prayed before Judas came to betray him. There are several other gardens in the Bible, but this was the only one other than the Garden of Eden that had a name. I hope this helps. God Bless ya!!!

The Garden of Gethsemene
At the western base of the Mount of Olives, within the walled perimeter of the Church of all Nations, can be found a small grove of ancient olive trees. The historic Garden of Gethsemene is centrally placed in the hearts of all Christians as the site where Jesus prayed the night before his arrest (Mark 14:32-50). Local tradition and lore date these living monuments back to Biblical times. It is more likely though that the gnarly and twisted specimens are descendants of the orignal ones. One thing is indisputable, they are indeed very old. The garden itself is well maintained. In addtion to the olive trees, there is a beautiful albeit contemporary selection of bougainvillea. Here it is mentioned that, following the betrayal of Christ, Judas hung himself from the branches of an olive tree.

Perhaps an appropriate scripture would be relating to Jesus's prayer in the garden at Gethsemane:
From the New King James Version (NKJV)
Matthew 26:35-37

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.”

Or perhaps also appropriate would be when Mary mistook the risen Lord for a gardener after His resurrection:

New King James Version (NKJV)
John 20:14-16
Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

How about what Jesus said in the Garden of Gethsemane- "Not my will but thine be done". This would be a great passage to use so that when they women leave they will see that they too must do the will of God, no matter the cost.

The song of songs.
Written by Solomon.
Women like this for some reason.
I for one can't read it.
Song 4:15 "You are a garden spring, A well of fresh water, And streams flowing from Lebanon."

It is poetry.
I am a published poet myself but I don't get this.

Song of Songs 5:1 (Song of Solomon)
I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk. Eat, O friends, and drink; drink your fill, O lovers.

Isaiah 61:1
As the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.

I don't know of any specifically with garden in it.
But the Bible refers to gardening by saying the cultivating of the ground and so forth.
Here is one: "He that is cultivating his own ground will have his sufficiency of bread," says the Bible at Proverbs 28:19.

Micah 4:4 states: And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making [them] tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken [it].

Hope this helped!
