I just read an answer where someone said that global warming was not a fact...

it's on there if you want to read it.

But my question is: We know the polar ice caps are melting. We know that weather patterns are changing. We know that water temperatures are higher. I thought at this point we all agreed that global warming is actually happening and I thought the only thing that was still uncertain is whether or not humans are causing it or it's a natural phenomena. Am I wrong about this?? And I know I'm in the wrong category but I'm a regular here and I want to know your opinions not some other category's.

I like the one who said we've only been recording weather for a few years, so how could we POSSIBLY know what happened before then? I guess ice samples, fossil records, and "science" in general aren't that interesting. (And yet these are the same people who believe there is a correlation between Bibles being removed from public schools and increased social problems.)

Go to NCAR in south Boulder and see if the egghead climatologists are global warming "skeptics."

For people to deny it it they'd have to be moving from place to place so that they don't get acquainted with one place's weather patterns for very long. Then they'd miss out on the fluctuations, because they'd enter the place during a fluctuation. Unlike those around him/her that have lived there for a long time.

Climate Change denial only happens amongst the uneducated/unemployed, a new study determined this. The smarter you are(as in schooling not IQ) the more you understand it basically.

The theories that are out now saying it's the sun etc have been disproven for the most part. The sun plays a part but not a huge part.

Plus noone can claim that kids are healthier nowadays, with less asthma problems when they walk through clouds of smog on a hot sunny day.

We need to clean up our act.

And even if it wasn't man made, we should still clean up our act, and do something about it, because if we don't it'll cost us way too much money.

• Some amount of natural global warming exists.

• Without it, the Earth would be a giant iceball.

• Like it or not, we are pouring greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

• Even the U.S. government, which lately has been pretty pro-business, has admitted that global warming is a reality.

• Some global warming is good. Too much is Venus. That's a fact. Deal with it.

How do you know though, that it is not some cycle that our earth goes through as recorded weather history only goes back a hundred or so years? Didn't we have ice ages before according to science? Doesn't science also state that it was warmer during the times of the dinosaurs? So, the truth is, nobody really knows enough about our earth and it's cycles to make any real claim such as global warming. What if our earth is just warming BACK UP to like when the dinos roamed? What really IS NORMAL? Not yelling, emphasizing.

Well the fact of global warming is disputed. by some, but the disputing is what we will do about it and if we should do something about it. There is no way we can live or maintain any resemblance of how we live without generating heat. If we go back to wood fires and walking it will still not resolve the problem and we are not about to do that.
It is happening, but should we really worry?? Probably not, just don't build on the beach..

I don't know whether we are causing it or not. We may be helping it. But it seems like the earth gets warmer, and then colder. It is probably just a way that it takes care of itself.

I think people who deny it, are sincere. I think they may soon be likened, or already are to those who believe we did not land on the moon, and that the earth is flat.

Either way I'm not worried about it. There is not much that I can do. If the earth wants to warm up or cool off, who am I to argue?

We know for a fact that the globe is warming. We know for a fact that there are natural cycles of warming that humans have drastically sped up. Some people either don't understand this, or don't want to.

(and about someone mentioning the stopping of air travel: air travel has a net cooling effect. This was proven on 9/11.)

Global Warming is not true, he was right. How could the temperature be rising in 10,000 years? They didn't have what is supposidly harming us now, and had NO WAY TO FIND THE MEANS OF TEMPERATURE!!!!! Look at charts, temperature goes up and down, it is a natural thing. In the 70's, scientists thought we were going to go through a second Ice Age because the temperature was being lowered, no we are afraid of it rising? The sun is getting older, hotter, and bigger. Deal with it... I am not dismissing it, but stating the truth. IF YOU SAY WE ARE THE BIGGEST POLLUTANTS, LOOK AT CHINA, GERMANY, FRANCE, IRAN, IRAQ, GREAT BRITAN, AND OTHER COUNTRIES YOU MORONS!!! Also, mainly women on this single question do not look at the charts, I keep reading and reading, but it is all lies. Throw away your copy of Al Gore's video, it is just ********...

No they only tell you that "we all agree" so that you will get in line. Who wants to be the odd man out, right?

Our planet is a "living planet", that means it is ever changing.

Right now it is going through a phase, that's all. Some would like to believe they can control the weather, but they can't.

This is the kind of B.S. people come up with when they don't believe in God, or that He alone has the power to control the weather on this planet.

God loves you and so do I.

The planet is warming, however 'global warming' has become the catch phrase of the extreme left and the extreme right refuse to acknowledge 'global warming.'
It's not so much that they don't believe the planet is warming, they just disagree with the reasons, and when the term is used, the connotation is that it is a man-made problem.
