I remember learning as a child that in some part of the Bible, Jesus, after learning of Judas' suicide, says "I wish he had not done that, for I would have forgiven him." or words to the same. I have searched, and cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone help?

Lately I read a lot in this R&S section that atheism is a wrong point of view, because we can't be absolutely sure whether or not God exists.

But it seems to be different when it's not about the biblical God, but about Zeus for example. It's perfectly normal to state that I'm 100% sure that Zeus doesn't exist. It seems, since a majority of religious people believes in the Abramic God, I should re-think my position towards only that God. I fail to see why.

So, I was wondering, if you are an atheist or an agnostic, do you concider yourself atheist or agnostic towards these gods:

A) Zeus
B) Biblical God
C) Pink Bowl of Chicken Soup Goddess
D) Flying Spaghetti Monster
E) Mirella, the Goddes of Smoking

Are they not afraid to go to HELL? If it is true, then they Got their soul to loose to the Devil, if such a thing called "GOD" is not true, then does it hurt to walk with the teaching of God that all he wants us to be is the Love one another, and maybe Just reading time to loose?

God is the only one who can judge a man for his sins? Shouldn't we let people do whatever they want and let God sort them out? If we truly believed in god and his word, we would have faith that he wouldn't let anything bad happen to the true believers, and if something bad were to happen, it would be in God's plan.
So why are we messing with God's will? Don't we have true faith in Him?

Should we keep arguing over correct interpretation of the scriptures or try to be like Christ and feed the hungry, aid the sick, house the homeless, and do every other thing we can to alleviate human suffering?

I'm wondering what "religion" forbids its members to shower. They said they were Mormons, but I know for a fact Mormons shower because I used to attend an LDS church. So I think this couple were just scuzzy and they were using "religion" as their excuse because they knew they couldn't be fired over an issue of religion. However, you could smell these people from way across the factory and many people who had to work close to them quit. Is there any religion that forbids showering or bathing?

if the trinity is true and all 3 persons are equal to eachother to make god, then why did jesus say that his father is greater then he is?

I attended Easter services at the big downtown Episcopal cathedral yesterday. It was a beautiful service and I am looking forward to going back next Sunday. But, having grown up in a non-liturgial, protestant church there were a lot of things that I didn't understand, and I have a million questions.

In particular, I'm curious about the incense. What is the significance of incense? Why did they have it? Was it just something special for Easter, or do they have it every week?

No where in the bible does it say, jesus is god, about the trinity, all three persons are in fact equal to make god : the father, the son, and the holy spirit. but for you to say jesus is the son of the already joined son, father, and spirit, which are god, then that makes 2 jesus, which makes no sense

Drunks find him when they get to the bottom of the glass....

Suicidal people find him while eating charcoal in the ER

Criminals find him while staring at the walls in prisons...

Addicts find him in the light at the end of the tunnel when they OD

Prostitues find him while looking at the ceiling...

Are these the most typical ways of finding Jesus?

Live as if there are no gods, enjoy life, and be a decent person. If there is indeed a just god, you will be rewarded. If there are no gods, you had a worthwhile life and that's the end of it. If there is an unjust god, then you're doomed anyway, whatever you do, and belief certainly won't save you.
