Well, I was hoping to find him in the Bible I took to work to study yesterday (hey! It was in my coffee breaks, ok?).

Sadly I found myself (confused) and some 'books' by four guys who I don't think ever met him. In fact they reminded me of when the suspects in TV cops shows have all got together beforehand and 'discussed' their stories. It made me wonder why the Council of Trent didn't just go for one 'Gospel'.

I don't know which I found more frustrating. The commonalities or the discrepancies between the four books. And as for the 'message', I found myself even less enlightened than before. Perhaps theology just isn't for me after all.

Although I never tried any of the methods you mentioned, I never did "find" him, I spent years and years trying, praying my heart out, imploring, begging to "find" him. It never happened. Never felt real. I had this habit of praying to God, then felt guilty for by-passing Jesus, big guilt cycle that kept me unfulfilled and going in circles. Then I discovered Islam, and realized there's absolutely nothing wrong (and everything right) about going directly to the top, no middle man required, no guilt, and a big sense of relief, and feeling the reality. Pure monotheism, the way religion was meant to be, works for me.

I found him in Hollywood. Turns out he is a tall white guy with prosthetic scars on his wrists. I convinced him that Russells' teapot really does exist in orbit around the sun. We both pray to it daily.

Most people do get saved when they have come to the end of their rope,(so to speak). I found Jesus on March 4, 1999 on my knees at a coffee table.

Nobody has found any sign of him for the last two thousand years. Haven't you heard, he was executed by the Romans a long long time ago. His finding days are long gone.
