I'm wondering what "religion" forbids its members to shower. They said they were Mormons, but I know for a fact Mormons shower because I used to attend an LDS church. So I think this couple were just scuzzy and they were using "religion" as their excuse because they knew they couldn't be fired over an issue of religion. However, you could smell these people from way across the factory and many people who had to work close to them quit. Is there any religion that forbids showering or bathing?

Oh, that would be the sect of the stinky bits for Jesus, I've read about them, very Holy; an offshoot of the snake handlers. They smell bad for the Lord!

That just sounds disgusting!!!

I remember reading about one order of monks who didn't bath - something to do with discomfort.

But I've not heard of any religion that forbids bathing: generally it's the other way around!!!

I do hope something can be done to convince these people to bathe! Perhaps the business could investigate the beliefs to determine if it IS religion????

dit dit: worship a bar of soap! ROFL!!! Good one!

I used to work with a guy who never bathed, but he never used religion as an excuse. I'm Mormon and we are URGED to shower or bathe at least once every day or two.

I think they're making something up. I can't imagine any religion that would forbid people from showering.

There is no problem at all in the bible with Christians taking a shower or a bath. One just needs to be modest about it. If you are going to bathe in the nude you should turn the lights down.

That's weird...we are encouraged to be "clean" in every sense of the word - physically, mentally, spiritually....
Maybe they were just really extreme.. there are weirdo's in every religion.

I've never heard of that. My father and his wife are mormon and they are the most sanitary/hygeine friendly people I know. That's gross BTW

Yikes: I would not work near such people. Were they cavemen from Geico?

Tell them to start worshipping a bar of soap if it really bothers you.
