Why is the papacy left exclusively in European hands? Jesus wasn't European, and obviously neither is God.

There's a difference between a charity and a religion.

I'm not talking about charities run by religions (there are non-religious charities too), I'm talking about the actual churches.

Saying they shouldn't because they help people doesn't cut it. Doctors and therapists help people too, and they pay tax.

I love this forum. I think it's a great way for people to really ask questions that they may not feel comfortable asking anywhere else.

To all my fellow Christians: Please be thoughful when answering questions. Just because there are a few people on here who like to provoke, you shouldn't respond in kind.

As the interactions on this site prove, our words and actions are representative of Jesus for many people. Please keep this in mind.

Someone asked "Why are muslims taking their kids out of white schools and putting them in muslim schools - if they don't like the British way of doing things then why are they here?"
Muslims want to change their surroundings to suit themselves and not the other way round. They are completely convinced that their way of life is the right way, and we're living life the wrong way, and they want to change us - and the rest of the world.
The ultimate goal of islam is to outbreed the rest of the world and either convert, force to live as second class citizens, or ultimately go to war with and kill the rest of the population. They believe that once everyone on earth is muslim and the rest are living either under subjugation or dead, then the world will end and they'll all happily go off to heaven to allah and their 72 virgins - fact.
Hence the reason why islam is called a death cult. Learn this, people, and you'll understand why islam works the way it does. Your thoughts, please.

I don't know much about the Jewish faith, so sorry if this is a stupid question? For us, it is a big religious holiday. How about Christmas....I heard they celebrate 7 days around that time, but not Christmas. They 7 candles...each day, one. What does it signify?

The more we understand other faiths...the better the world would be...agree?

...for some Christians? Why on Earth?

Just think about "The Name of the Rose", that book they were hunting (and the blind priest was hiding), it was about comedy.

Now, are there still Christians thinking that laughter comes out of mockery and distorts the facial features into a devilish face, therefore it is a dreadful sin? (...and crying doesn't do the same thing, of course...)

I am a muslimah and I don't celebrate the holiday itself. However, for the fun of it, I do color the eggs as a craft with my daughter so she gets to explore her creative side, one of numerous we do throughout the week. I want to know if other muslims do anything or just refuse to buy anything associated with Easter? My step sister refuses to buy any single thing, even candy, if it has Easter things on it, which I honestly think is a bit extreme and uncalled for. I want to know your honest opinion. (Hard boiled eggs are pretty good aren't they? Amazingly, my 3 year old daughter loves them and so does my 1 year old son.)

...especially since the belief in the after life stems from Ancient Egypt? Is this not a biblical doctrine then? Is it that a man 'has' a living soul, or a man 'is' a living soul? What does your bible say?

There are so many obvious flaws in human beings, which are the result of our ancestral history.

Our backs aren't exactly ideal for an upright creature. Probably because we weren't upright until recently when humans moved from the trees into the savanah.

This is just one of many obvious flaws that evolution hasn't yet bred out of our species, a poorly fashioned pelvis for giving birth to such fully developed babies being just one of them.

The life that abounds around us on this planet is constantly going through the process of mutation and survival of the best adapted of a species.

We have seen huge changes as a result of this process with bacteria over the last few decades.

If the life around us were perfect, these changes wouldn't need to happen.

We live in an imperfect world that is beautiful because of the randomness of the mutational experiments that evolution is continually generating.

I would like to know why many of the Christians I have met continue to do wrong because they are so brainwashed they honestly beleive that Jesus died on the cross for their sins and all is forgiven, every time. I am talking about repeat offenders. Isn't faith and living the right life enough to get us to heaven. Arn't there many taking full advantage of Christianity? It was enough for me to give Chrisitanity a miss. I am sick of all the money making that goes on playing on peoples faith.

If your faith decrees that you are better than other folk, such as the homosexual community, different ethnicities, different nationalities, different faiths, genders, et cetera... how can you keep that faith? Any faith that seeks to separate mankind from itself is WRONG! If there is a god that expects me to follow a law that goes against my fellow man/woman/child I expect that god to commit seppuku on the spot. I shall not be ruled by cowards and those who would divide my family.
For the good of mankind, HA! Division is weakness, discrimination is strength.
