There are so many obvious flaws in human beings, which are the result of our ancestral history.

Our backs aren't exactly ideal for an upright creature. Probably because we weren't upright until recently when humans moved from the trees into the savanah.

This is just one of many obvious flaws that evolution hasn't yet bred out of our species, a poorly fashioned pelvis for giving birth to such fully developed babies being just one of them.

The life that abounds around us on this planet is constantly going through the process of mutation and survival of the best adapted of a species.

We have seen huge changes as a result of this process with bacteria over the last few decades.

If the life around us were perfect, these changes wouldn't need to happen.

We live in an imperfect world that is beautiful because of the randomness of the mutational experiments that evolution is continually generating.

You previously stated you had come from a Catholic background?
If so, you must remember that all mankind is under sin, sinners to boot.

However, about perfection. The Biblical use of the word perfection refers to what will fit a need completely!

Most people when saying that a sphere is perfectly round refers to a different kind of definition! In the Biblical way a pen may be perfect as a writing instrument, but will be a poor shovel!

Thus the variety we see in men and women, in races, in height, weight and in most cases looks (except for clear genetic problems) have nothing to do with imperfection or with perfection.

Perfect mankind would still exhibit the great and beautiful variety we see globally.

We WERE CREATED PERFECT. It was because of the actions of our ancestors, Adam and Eve, themselves created perfect, their deliberate action in disobeying God, that they became IMPERFECT. This resulted in sickness [ of all types] and death.
But because of Jesus' sacrifice, we can look forward to the REMOVAL of sickness and death.
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
