I would like to know why many of the Christians I have met continue to do wrong because they are so brainwashed they honestly beleive that Jesus died on the cross for their sins and all is forgiven, every time. I am talking about repeat offenders. Isn't faith and living the right life enough to get us to heaven. Arn't there many taking full advantage of Christianity? It was enough for me to give Chrisitanity a miss. I am sick of all the money making that goes on playing on peoples faith.

Well why don't we just take all the stereotypes of the world and lump them all together and decide that all lifestyles typified by these stereotypical people are bad and should be 100% rejected? That's what you're suggesting we do with Christianity, right? Do you see the problem? It'd leave no one being able to do or be anything. Christians are just sinners who have been forgiven of their sins, both the ones they had committed at the time of their rebirth and those they commit after. We're still human beings, and we still war with our flesh like every other man. Many people get what I call "fire insurance," which is to say that they "get saved" just so they won't go to Hell. They don't really care about God or living a Christian life, These seem to be the people you are referring to, and they are fooling themselves. They went up to the preacher and said some words and think they got the point. They are wrong, they are deluded fools with less sense than a 10 year old toe nail. BUT why do you condemn all Christians on account of a few you have seen? And as to money, do YOU not need money to survive in this world? Yes, I too am angered by the exploitation that goes on, but churches need funds too, and so some commercialization is necessary in order to maintain the ability to spead the gospel (literally "good news") to all men. I wish it could be done for free, but everyone insists on charging everyone for everything, including air. Jesus DID die on the cross; He did it so that your sins, my sins, and everyone else's sins could be forgiven. It was the ONLY way to accomplish this feat. Once that truth is accepted, one should feel a desire to honor both the Man and His sacrifice and try to emulate Him, especially as He was the greatest man of Love who ever lived (and does, in fact, still live). To be perfectly candid with you, I really don't care if you believe this or not; my mission, as set by God, is not to convince you of the truth, only to do my level best to make sure you hear it. While it is my hope you will both hear and believe, I know that in many cases that will not happen. In the meantime, however, grow up and quit bashing every Christian based on your bad experiences with just a few.

I am a born again Christian and I am also a sinner. There is no one worthy of Heaven and yes, this is why Jesus died on the cross for us. As far as the religions making money for themselves I think you are referring to the Benny Hinn type ministries. Yes, the make a fortune and a nice portion goes to themselves. I recently read all about Joyce Meyer and her million dollar home with all her luxury cars and vacation homes, etc. However, I do not follow that crowd of millionaires because I believe God wants us to be humble, not rich. I follow the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and I do not give money to those ministries on TBN. Here is a website that talks about these false religions like that. If you check it out, when you get to the page just click on "false religion" and take your pick.

Becoming a Christian doesn't mean your going to magically be transformed into the perfect human. It's a journey and some make it faster than others. Consider the 2 year old vs the 10 year old. You don't expect them to act the same or know the same things. They have to grow into the knowledge and understanding. It's the same with Christians.

The money making is nothing new. It happens in every faith or with any group of people. But, your may just be seeing the outside of some of it too. Many of the big "money makers" are actually transfering large amounts of money to minsitries that provide food and clothing. Many have outreach programs that pay for medical needs. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

many people who have ridden in or drive a car get into accidents so do you pass on driving or riding in a car as well?
Would you want people to judge you too if a majority of your family did things wrong? Everyone has there own view but, I don't understand why you are letting the mistakes of others make up your mind on whether or not to be Christian. Its your soul were talking about here. you don't have to live all the lives of those that make mistakes. Christianity shouldn't be seen as something negative., but unfortunately when people have a bad experience it sometimes tends to stick. Who knows why people do what they do that part of the complexity of being human.

i believe your right, brainwashing starts at an early age.if their is such a place as heaven, you certainly dont have to be brainwashed.as long as we behave in a christian manner.by helping your fellow man and generally behave in a moral manner.you will still be in the taxi that heads upstairs.you dont need to attend mass to get there.catholics have the easy way out.they can sin ,confess and be forgiven in 1 week

i understand your grief but the revelation of jesus christ written by john spoke that the churches would be in that condition in the end.
the church is likened as a woman, as paul said, i have espoused you a chaste virgin but i fear as the serpent beguiled eve so your minds be corrupt to the truth. What paul feared happened, the church didn't remain chaste she bacame a whore(spritually speaking) your mind is the womb of your spirit and the church became polluted by false doctrine that she received into her womb(her mind) by that false prophet pope.
the word is a seed or a stream of life and only a man can bring forth that stream of life naturally or spiritually. knowing this and the nature of a whore, they are money chasers, dress to appeal. in revelations 17 note how john says she(the great whore) is arrayed or dressed in purple and scarlet and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. There is nothing modest about her.(describes the inside of the vatican perfectly) that is why so many men join up with her because this church is beautiful but it is to their demise, regretably. She is a dominating woman too which is satanic she forces the whole world to join her or suffer economic peril or be killed

Obviously you have no idea of the legal fees that the church has to pay in all the pedophile priest lawsuits or the amount of money needed to support our beloved televangelists lavish life style.
To spread the gospel in an innovative way, Ted Haggard (PBUH) had to support male hookers and supply them with Meth for five years. this is expensive but it is god's will. So keep the money flowing and stop whining dear.

Repeat offenders haven't truely repented of their sins. You are right about that part

Don't judge us all by those you are talking about

and no, faith and good living won't get you there, Accepting Christ and following His teachings will.

Christians are sinners too, but we are saved by grace in Jesus name, but we are supposed to sanctify our self by crucifying the flesh and its sinful nature, that does not mean they are taking advantage that means they are living in willful disobedience, but they have not denied the truth of Jesus as you have, so they are forgiven and you still stand condemned if you do not believe in the one God sent, here is how to know him and get his holy spirit in you and then you will know!
