this is a good example to people to become atheist, or you end up losing your sanity and talking like you on a crack pipe.

Yes! Jesus said that He is the only truth and the way to God. You know God by knowing Jesus. Jesus (God who became a man) lived among the people to set an example for everyone how to live and to love other. Read Matthew, Mark Luke and John. It is full of practical advise on how to live a blessed life. He is our intercessor between us and the Father and helps us to fight our battles. Because humans are so sinful He needed to punish us all with death, but because of His great love for us, He rather punished Himself (not to be seen as a sign of weakness!), by humiliating Himself amongst people to die for our sins. But God is so great that He can even resurrect Himself from the death.

Jesus is God and Jesus is the only way to God.

Plainly there is no God/gods. There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus was a good man,and great teacher. So 'knowing god' is of no consequence to practical living.

actually, with all the restrictions on diet, practise (i.e no smoking or drinking alcohol)etc you'd probably end up a very healthy person. you'd never steal or kill so wouldnt end up in jail. never commit adultry so could avoid stds and near death when caught! would believe in God so completely that you wouldnt be riddled with questions about your purpose on earth so i guess its a lifestyle change you could incorporate into your exercise regime and voila....long and healthy life with the added benefit of going to heaven should it all prove true in the end! lol try it!

From the result of the answers I see,
even from one who said that she reported you?!
I figure it can't be because of the question
so it must be a terrible site you have there...
I'll abstain from even checking it...
I rarely do check any sites quoted here anyway...
if I wanted to check sites, I'd be checking sites...
I come here to do the best that I can to help
even one person a day and that's okay with me.
We live in a world of information over-load
and people just don't have time to check
every single site on the net.
I mean, it's bad enough, according to some
to quote a few Scriptures
as they will come down your head for it
but these Scriptures aren't posted for any one really,
other than the poor soul who has a serious question
or problem, who is looking for a solution
and who might very much appreciate the quote
addressing the problem or concern that this individual
has felt the need to express on Yahoo Answers...
Anyhow, just in case there might be any seriousness
behind your question, (what have I to lose?
nothing at all if it helps you in any way
and who's to say that it can't help another???)

Do I think it is important to know God? For sure.
In Jesus? No! Wait a minute!
We must go to Him in the name of Jesus
as he is the only mediator between us and the Father... Maybe that's what you meant by "in Jesus"
and if so, you are correct!
Jesus, the man, is easier to relate to for humans
who are made of flesh and blood!
We can truly model our lives by the way he lived
and benefit tremendously from such loving ways of wisdom and generosity of heart and soul.
It's a fact that anything good that we do
comes back ten-fold.
Helping in a practical sense?
Absolutely! As long as I ask whatever it is that I ask Him,
in his son's name,
provided that I don't ask out of sheer selfishness
but that the end result or purpose of my asking
is so that I can better do or accomplish His will
for me to either help someone or even myself
to serve Him better, no matter what I ask Him like that,
He always came through... even when it came to finding
the best position or career as I described in prayer
to a "T", what I would be real happy doing
and what sort of salary I would need,
what sort of person I would have to answer to,
what sort of variety would have to be included,
even the fact that the owner would have to live far away
and be so thrilled with my performance
that he'd send me flowers... all of it came true...
If only we have faith in the fact that He is
the Answerer of Prayers
and that if it's not a bad thing that we ask of Him,
He is so happy to show us that He loves us
and is so very happy when we truly believe in Him
that I think He sometimes rushes to answer prayers.
He's just like that. He likes sincere people and not ridiculers. He likes people who understand what it means
to have been created in His image, able to think, to create, to built homes, to have children,
to have fun and be hospitable even to strangers
because in doing so he says that none of us knows
that we didn't entertain angels sometimes...
Everything that could have seemed as painful
as though a mountain had fallen on my head at times,
He made it feel like a tiny pebble in no time at all,
just by my approaching Him in prayer, through His son,
or in the name of His son Jesus,
who died the most horrifying of deaths for my sins and yours, so that we could soon taste what it is really like
to enjoy the life that we were meant to live,
and not a mere life of virtual reality, as it were,
a life where a false and evil god is pulling the strings
of who knows? maybe over 90 % of the world???
I wish and pray that everyone could some day
prove that one to be the liar that he is
by pushing him aside and by insisting on getting to know
the true and only Creator of all other.
It's not His fault if He allowed us all free will
and never wanted us to feel forced to love Him, that we made a mess of the paradise he gave us at first...
He really will fix all of the mess real soon and then,
we will all understand why He had to do just what He did,
just the way that He did it and why...
If we want to bad enough,
He'll see to it that we can even understand all of it,
right here, right now... but we must really want to,
from the heart...
Have yourself a good day, Sir,
as I will be signing off for a while...
I've actually been at this all night long...
and need a couple of hours sleep before I do anything else... Wow! the sun is coming up already!!!
Thanks for the opportuniy to have shared this time with you...
