I think he would be quite surprised by the church that has adopted his name, and the doctrines written in his name, let alone the acts committed in his name.
Whether or not that's pleasantly surprised, I'll leave up to your imagination...

Good question; and since it is biblical, let the Bible answer that. Here is the answer.

Yes he did. And God confirmed this by elavating him to a higher position. Refer to John 17:4, & Hebrew 12:2.

The measure of Jesus success was NOT on the QUANTITY of those who will follow him. On the contrary, he prophecied that a few will really qualify to enter the kingdom of God. (Mat 7:13,14; Luke 13:24)

What was the measure then? There are 2. First, is the vindication or glorification of God's name which was sullied by Satan. Unlike the 1st perfect man, Adam, Jesus accomplished this by not giving in to Satan's temptations. ( Luke 4:2-13 ) Second, he and subsequently his true disciples have and continue to proclaim the good news of God's kingdom--whether people accept this or not. God's kingdom according to Jesus and his disciples is the only solution to all the ills of mankind. He proved this by curing the sick, giving food to the hungry, resurrecting the dead, and even controlling natural disasters--things that no human government could do. That is why at the end of his career Jesus said that he was able to accomplish his task. ( John 17:1-8; 19:30 )

I'm amazed at just how many questions are like this on this board which are basically slams against our beliefs (SIGH).

God would probably be pretty sad about the state. But I know that God also realizes that a person in 2007 had very little control over what happened in the past, particularly in terms of what people we don't know or were born before us did. All we as Christians can do is to live our lives the way that Christ asks us to do. Walk in love.

Jesus loved sinful humanity so much, he came to die an appalling death in order to release them from the wages of sin. Notice that he did not wait until humanity had arrived at some morally elevated state before appearing. Barbaric practices were going on all over the world - and not a Christian in sight! Once he gathered disciples to himself, he taught them by word and example the power of principled love. That power was released into the world then, and is flowing still, for those with hearts soft enough to receive it. But harden your heart if you will. Accuse others. Just don't think that by so doing you are in any way elevated yourself. Or, as Jesus said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

For the LAST time...Hitler made NO public or private profession of being a Christian. Those that disagree please sent a direct quote WITH references.

It was the CHRISTIAN Church that started the seeds that grew into the liberation of slaves.

"MOST Christian" ????? you would have to be blind to ONLY see the failing and not the good that has been done.

NON-Profit Hospitals WORLD wide
Major colleges in US started as Christian

You have a lot of your facts mixed up. You need to separate out the facts and fiction, also "who" did what to "whom". All all Muslims terrorist and criminals. "Is" Islam a religion of peace? Why does not "Islam" deal with the terrorist?? Why do the Imams preach terror?? Get it straight! Jesus had nothing to do with the crusades or the people involved-pay closer attention.

Jesus's mission was a success. He came in the flesh to provide a way out for people who believed in him. He said the Law was impossible to follow the way it had been devised by the Priesthood and was choking his people. He left man with a free will so they could choose their own destiny

America's present attitudes and actions towards Muslims? You mean those extreme radicals who fly airplanes into buildings, or the peaceful ones who defend those who fly airplanes into buildings. Humans are imperfect, Christian and non-Christian alike. I don't think Christ would consider his mission a failure since through his death and resurrection, the people He loves can be saved.

His mission was a complete success. He met the objective, taking on the punishment that all humans deserve, so that all who claim Him as Savior can have eternal life in heaven.
He did not come to make all people sinless in this life.

Either way, Christ's mission/sacrifice was not subject to man's inhumanity. And I do love my enemies (-1). How do you suppose I've betrayed my faith?
