Please could someone explain to me where the division is between Christianity and the Jewish faith?

I like to appreciate other people's beliefs thus can someone explain to me why Christians use Jesus as a panicle of their religion, whilst it is claimed Jesus was a Hebrew, yet the Jewish faith uses the Star of David?

I respect all faiths so can someone please educate me please

Hypothetically: If there is a God, how should he act in your view? Help everyone? Help noone? Not do much, but throw the occasional guy stranded in the desert a canteen full of water?
Or what?

I often hear people refer to the Bible as the work of God or the word of God. However, the bible itself is the work of the human mind, several human minds in fact, and has been altered down the centuries by different interpretations and translations. Some things have even been deliberately altered to suit the opinions of the times. There has also been several books omitted from the bible some of which have been found at a later time. The dead sea scrolls for example. What has given rise to the believe that this is literal word of God? I am not saying that the bible isn't an important book nor am I dismissing some of the messages, particularly from the new testament. I went to a religious school and spent the best part of 14 years studying the bible and the Christian faith in general. However, I always viewed it as a series of books written by humans. Is there anyone out there who believes this is the literal word of God? Does anyone know why this has happened?

I prefer the catholics to the protestants. All the cathlics i have met are nice people and the protestants are im not going to say it to horrible basiclly. I like cathlics more them protestants. Im not a catholic and im not interested in converting. But i do think your doctrine makes more sense then the protesant one.

that you must be born Jewish? I've heard from some people that they've converted to Judaism but was told that it's impossible since one must be born a Jew.

men have been religious , knowing God and trusting God is the most vital important thing in anyone life, the word of God declares let ever man work out his own salvation with fear and trembling...men have done terriable sins against humanity and God but the worst is to deny and moke and run down the name of the almighty God ...no man knows the thoughts of God nor can any man explain just how he created all things in the eyes of the beholder... religion can be any belief or theory .if a man chose not to believe he has sealed his own eternal fate...he may scorn and he may moke and blaspheme, but God will bring to judgement all men before the mighty throne of the almighty God..(.God is angry with the wicked) his truths abides and are not changed or altered by those who chose not to acknowledge him or have his spirit in their lives... one way to God house is to be born again , without this happening in anyone life, its impossiable for man to recieve eternal life

According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as well as International Human Rights Law, as promulgated by the UN, a state or government has no legal right to interfere in the religious practice of it's people. Moreover every religious group in a state must be given EQUALITY!!!

In India, which by the way is a Hindu majority country, Hindus are not permitted to build Hindu schools and are constantly being required to compromise "Hinduness" for the interests of "Indianess" and "secularism". In India, ALL NON-HINDU people are accorded special treatment and have special rights (one example is the PM's recent statement that all Muslims should be given first preference). This means that Hindus are treated THE WORST in their own country. The pro-left media is the biggest enemy of Hinduism and of any patriotic or nationalist pride.

SHOULD THE HINDUS OF INDIA MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT THE CONGRESS PARTY AND IT'S HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS TO UN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION ???

I know that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is considered the unforgivable sin.

People who have done this, or people who think about it a lot... does it need to be spoken out loud or written down to count? Do stray thoughts count?

I try to excercise mind control but when I think about this particular topic I get stray thoughts that I don't want. They are not intentional (on a conscious level, necessarily... you know what I mean... when you randomly get a thought in your head?)
I'm not going to write these thoughts because then that probably would be Blasphemous however unintentional (since I'm just trying to explain..) but you know. If one has blasphemous stray thoughts would it count against them?

Geez, my mind needs taming. ¬_¬

Thanks for your input, anyway.
