All the evidence presented, presumably from the Bible, all the laws of Roman and Judaism applied as they would have been originally. What would be the verdict guilty or innocent?

Thinking of it in terms of here is a guy who is claiming to be the son of god, who can perform "miracles", and makes a good speech. I suppose he'd probably be found not guilty by reason of insanity in this day and age. I mean his miracles are no more miraculous than Benny Hinn's or heck, the magic of Criss Angel. Everyone, just about, knows those are fake. And those who claim to be the messiah are usually quickly locked up or at least given meds. Yeah, I'll go with not guilty by reason of insanity. He'd be out in 6 months.

His only crime was that he proclaimed to be the Messiah. Yes, I can wholeheartedly, believe that He would still not be believed if he came today and would be convicted. However, I dont think that He would be crucified for his claim today. He had to be sacraficed as the perfect lamb, and had to be sacraficed by the High Priest. This is why his timing was perfect. God is never late, He is never early, God is always right on time.

IT IS FINISHED - HE IS RISEN!!

Presuming that there are all the believers in Christianity that there are today, he would be found NOT guilty!

You should read a book by Harvey Cox titled When Jesus Came to Harvard. In one of his religion classes Cox invites lawyers to come in and do a retrial of Jesus. It is fascinating stuff.

Guilty.

He refused to recognize the divinity of the emporer, and claimed to be a king. Guilty.

I am afraid that even with this 'Proof' there would still be non-believers, yes with proof right In front of them they would deny him.He would not be executed tho, he would be put into a mental hospital even with 'Proof'.

I don't know but then I trust God to have known the exact time in our history to send him, so that his death had the impact that it did.
