I must agree with this one. I live by the ways Kali, Loki, and Lilith and never once do I attribute my actions to thier wills or desires. I act based on my decisions formed by the workings of my brain that I developed. Most christians I have met speak of free will thru christ.... free will THRU "someone" else is no free will at all

elfkin; the free will spoken of has been handed over to God. Once this is given to God then all your kindness flows from Him.
An act of random kindness is a direct result of His teachings, as well as our own surrender to His authority. So I would have to say that my free will is in His hands now, and knowing that I have to attribute it to God Almighty.
It may be difficult to understand, and accept without any scepticism, yet everything that is done good or bad is by His leave for whatever reason. We haven't the imagination to even try to understand an entity that overwhelms the whole of the universe, and all that lays beyond the universe. So how can we say that what we do is not attributed to God? Lacking the wisdom & the intelligence to completely understand our own solar system I find it hard to question God's decisions with any kind of authority.
What questions I do have are for understanding of His allowance of all things.
Utilizing my own free will is part of God's atributes for His glory in all things however small.

Good question! We have a free will and we can use it to accept or reject God, or to "commit" random acts of kindness or evil for that matter. When I was a Catholic I would do "good works" both because it was how I was raised and to get to heaven. Now that I'm a Lutheran I do them "Because" I'm going to heaven.
Whether or not I can do it without attributing it to God is something I'll have to think about. I hope it doesn't make my head hurt. :)

Who attributes an act of kindness to God? Unless it is God performing the act.
He may ask us to be kind, but it is my choice whether I'm kind or not. God does not force us to do anything.
Your question has a discrepancy though. If it were "random," then it would be an accident, and thereby "free will" would have nothing to do with it. God would not have done it, it was just the luck of the draw. To actually be kinds implies an intellectual effort, followed by a physical action - a choice.

Of course, I commit random acts of kindness all the time not letting people know who did this act or why I did it.

No I would be given the free will to act in kindness because I have been taught to do this through the words of my faith. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do an act of kindness and not let anyone know it was me. Have a great day and God bless!

As a Christian, I contribute every good act to God. It is my free to chose whether or not to do something kind, but it is the Holy Spirit that nudges me in the right direction.
I believe that even prior to my being Christian, God nudged me in the right direction.

Nope, all the good things I do are inspired by Him. He doesn't make me do it, but when He says I should I WANT to do it because He asked me too. When someone you love asks you to do a small thing for them, most of us do the small thing and usually something else as well and are happy to do so, this is what I do for Him.

No, God is the root or the source. That is like starting a fire, and not giving credit to the match.
