who states that they are Christian, are not prone to anger?
Even God Himself got angry at times.
I have seen on here that people state that just because your chrisitan, that you don't act like a christian if you get angry. So I was just curious about this.
Note: Even a Christian is Human too

The bible says:
Psalm 4:4
In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.
It doesn't say - do not be angry....it says "when you are angry" do not sin. Anger is just one of the many emotions we as Christians face......along with the rest fo the world....we're all human, even God got angry.....when people say you are not acting very "christian" because you are angry - they are either insecure in themselves and their own feelings or they are looking for a way to discredit christianity.
Hope that helps you.

There is no reason to believe that anger is a sin, or that a Christian, or even God, is "immune" from the emotion.

I would guess that unreasonable anger, sadness, or happiness would be indicative of sin, but not necessarily sin in and of itself. For example, sadness and anger stemming from jealousy, or happiness from a vindictive, vengeful act.

Emotions are tools that we can use to gauge and test things; they allow us to reflect on our spiritual state and determine where our passions lie. Like any tool, emotions can be abused or misused.

You are also right that Christians are still humans. They are not immune from emotion, struggle, or sin.

No, of course Christians can get angry. Sometimes they just act out on that anger in the wrong way.

Like people of all religions for that matter.

No, Christians are human like everyone else. However, they aren't acting very Christ-like when they get mad if they are mean when they're mad. Anger is not a sin, it is what we do with it.

To know oneself, is a sign of wisdom.

To know oneself, means to know when to get angry and when not to.

And when you do, you dont act on it. You simply wait till it cools down. And act rationally.

but you do get angry

does that make sense?

not specifically anger, but it always amazes me how much vitriol and hate some of your more fundamentalist brethren carry inside them.

And yes, I know all about your bipolar (OT=angry & nasty, NT=lovey-dovey) God.
