p_l_gray, Josephus wrote about people that worshipped a Jesus fellow. Josephus never met Jesus or saw any evidence of Jesus.

He was real. Roman historians talked about him soon after his death, there were records of his crucifixion, thousands of people saw him, and a number wrote what they saw down.

There's more evidence for Jesus, despite Him never writing His own book, than there is for ANY other prominent historical figure from that time.

SO yes, Jesus was and IS real. Whether or not He's the Son of God, or He actually rose from the dead, or all that other stuff His followers said He did...well, would YOU die for something you knew was a lie? Would you say you saw something else, and die for that lie?

I have plenty of reasons to not only believe in Jesus Christ, but to believe in God. There is no way to prove that God does not exist. YOU do not "know" there is no God. You BELIEVE that there is no God. There is a difference.

Obviously asked by someone who has not done any research at all regarding the subject.

Jesus' life is well recorded in many secular texts. The writing of Josephus are the most prominent. So if you are going to make such claims, you may want to at least make sure they are true.

As to your disbelief in his diety or in God that's up to you. You get to deal with those consequences.

I'll pray for you.

{edit}You're just plain wrong. While Josephus never met Christ. He did write extensively about him... Just as I have never met Abraham Lincoln but could write volumes concerning his life.

Josephus was only one example. There are examples in secular roman history as well.... my point is that you have obviously not researched the subject other wise you wouldn't make such an erred statement.
