Perhaps with mother earth gasping for air on this crowded planet, more and more people are being born homosexual? We have no reason for the majority of people to procreate at this time. It is actually hurting us. Mabye homosexuality is an answer?

God spends the first three commandments all about him. Then he gets to the fourth one about honoring your mother and father. Followed by murder, adultery, coveting, etc. etc.

Where is the commandment that you should not abuse your children or any children? Why is god more worried about coveting your neighbors oxen and could care less about molesting little kids. Is this the moral authority priests uses when they do it?

Before you answer, I should tell you it has nothing to do with gay marriage. It has to do with procreation.

Why do we get sick? What's the purpose? If I was God, I would have everybody die at an old age peacefully. Why is there cancer and even the common cold? Why are we succeptable to such things? What's the point?

There are more than 2,000 versions of bible in this world.

Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
First Roman Catholic Bible was published at Rheims in 1582.
Second one published at Douay in 1609.
These called RCV version of Bible.
The Protestants regarded 7 books as ‘apocrypha’ (doubtful authority) and removed them from Bible. (The Book of Judith, The Book of Tobias, The Book of Baruch, The Buck of Esther, etc.)
Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book."
On deleting 7 books from bible, the Catholics call ‘cult of Christianity’ to the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

In the Quran God said:

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Say: He is Allah, the One;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He be
And there is none like unto Him

I recently divorced my husband after a very brief marriage to him and drugs. He was abusive and cruel but he was also wondeful and kind (It is possible to be both where there are drugs involved). I loved him very much and still do but I could no longer live wondering when my last breath would be. I am a recovering Meth addict and now live back with my folks who are Born Again and I recently accepted Christ as my Savior and have been clean for almost 3 months. The support system I left behind has come back to me stronger than ever and I have been blessed beyond what I could have ever asked.
My life in drugs though it was dark and ugly seems so far behind me it feels like a dream (or nightmare) and I owe that to God. I never imagined the blessings one could receive in such a short time and I certainly don't desrve them. So now I am trying to tell my story and be a living example of life after death to show people how truly wonderful God is. So, what's your story?

And mainstream Protestant Christianity?

I've heard a lot (e.g., we can become gods, Satan is Jesus's brother) about Mormonism that has then been denied by some Mormons I have talked to. So I would appreciate it if a Mormon could give me an outline of the major points in which Mormonism departs from mainstream Protestant Christianity. If you have a link, that's fine too, so long as it specifically answers the question.

Then you understand that it takes a leap of faith to follow your religion.

Why would you think someone else was bad for not taking that leap then?

There are all kinds of issues that could go into it. What if the person was let down a lot as a kid and didn't have faith in anything?

What if they were just really into science and had never been interested in spirituality.

Would those things make them a bad person, or destined for a fiery abiss?

You admit there's a leap of faith involved, right?

Joseph Smith taught in April 1844:

God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. If the veil were rent today, and the great God who holds this world in its orbit, and who upholds all worlds and all things by His power, was to make himself visible,-I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form-like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man. . . . . . It is the first principle of the gospel to know for a certainty the character of God, and to know that we may converse with Him as one man converses with another, and that He was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ Himself did."

Lorenzo Snow, fifth president of the LDS Church, summarized this doctrine in a couplet: "As man now is, God once was; As God now is, man may be."

What is the best book in the Bible that describes rules for Christian living and how to live your life to please God? I know Romans and the synoptic gospels are good ones...are there any others you can think of?

Any books written by Christian authors that act as a guide to Christian living? I guess I'm looking for something that I can look to as a reference for different life situations and how I should act, etc.
