Whaaa? Mother Earth may be gasping for air. And no, there are not more homosexuals being born now than any other time..It is only because the population on Earth has grown...homosexuals have always been here and always will be..As for the Earth it will tolerate a hell of a lot more than what we are being told. BIRTH CONTROL is the answer to your QUESTION...HAS NOTHING to do with homosexuality. Each to their own and noone should interfere with that

You're logic is okay, but the argument is not scientifically sound. This is because the genetic basis for being gay seems to occur with the gentic basis for male nurturing, that is the same gene which makes some men gay, makes others good fathers.
From this, it's more plausible to exprapolate that being gay evolved to assist in the nurturing of children, more like a specialization which permitted some people to reproduce, while others helped raise the children.
"It Takes a Village' by Hillary Clinton seems to get this correct. My brothers have kids, and gay Uncle Me gets to pay their college bills . . . What's not to like?

As a matter of birth control? I don't think so. Homosexuality is first mentioned in the book of Leviticus in the Bible so I would say the history goes far beyond a crowded earth.

Lol. Joke. More homosexuals are around now BECAUSE there are more people. Homosexuality is probably older than man itself. Since it is practiced widely throughout the animal kingdom, it is not crazy to assume that a percentage of people would be gay. Homosexuals do not make up enough of the population to even put a dent in the growth, if you'll pardon my expression.

I think a certain percentage of the population has always been homosexual but it is just more visible now because one there are more people and two it is not hidden as much (and it shouldn't be).

No, there is no actual evidence to suggest this is the case.
Why not just have an increase in people with no sexual interest? Or sterile people? Why homosexuals? Read a little about real evolutionary theory, and try again.

I don't think homosexuality has evolved as a genetic trait.. There are more homosexuals because they are more visible these days and there are more people..
How do you explain homosexuals who want children?? And not all heterosexuals have sex to procreate.
In fact in this day and age of IVF no sexual intercourse is required to have children. Anyone can have children whether they are homosexual or heterosexual, if they can afford the cost.

Homosexuality rates seem almost to be too constant of a percentage of population (although it's hard to say this for sure since it was so closeted for many years). I suspect it's a general flaw in various processes of development and nothing more or less. Rates of it are probably consistent everywhere and throughout time.

Homosexuality occurs in every bisexual species. Even in birds and lizards. Weird but true. It must be something besides direct inheritance driving it. The only things not showing homosexuality are things like shrimp, mussels and snails or worms that are hermaphrodites or change their sex as they age.
It obviously is not a new phenomenum

We're not overpopulating as you think we are, and the rate of homosexuality is not increasing, but the acceptance of it is, allowing homosexuals to be more comfortable and to tell people that they're gay.
