figure if I ask questions it will help me to understand. Ok so here's the question.

Now I am assuming most of you have been to a zoo, or have watched apes and monkeys on television and too a lesser extent primosimians, apes, being the closet, Chimpanzees in particular. Now, I've heard people say we didn't come from a common ancestor and that we don't look like apes. REALLY! Are you kidding me. I mean, there is obviously a resemblence. Compared to like Elephants, dogs, ect. Finally, we know that a chimp shares 99% of our DNA. I guess I'm trying to figure out how you guys rationalize this? I really don't understand how you sweep that under the carpet. Explain Gods reasoning for making something 99% the same as us. Honest answers please and sources will help, thanks.

I remember reading a scripture where the Lord said He confused us by separating our languages so that we could not understand each other, but it's still okay to learn to speak another language, yes? I feel like, because of this scripture, I will never have a full ability to understand another language. And I plan to major in Chinese :/

My husband and I are living in the house we live in now and I suddenly remember that there are (many) more rooms in the house than we knew about when we bought it. I found these rooms in the past through a secret entrance to an upper level to the house that does not actually exist. I tell him about the extra rooms and I go to show them to him. While he is following me, I look back at him and realize that he is now an old boyfriend who I broke up with years ago… Then it’s like I realize we were together all along and that I have to come up with a plan to leave him without breaking his heart. I’m really upset by this….

I always expect to see them the same as they were in the dream before, but they are always completely different. The only thing that stays the same is that they are filled with old dusty furniture that the previous owners left behind. The rooms are dirty and I get upset trying to figure out how I’m going to clean them and sort through the stuff I want to keep and dispose of the stuff I don’t want. I realize it will take years. Not only that, but the rooms are always not finished (only part of a floor is tiled, only some walls painted, part of the ceiling unfinished and rain is leaking in).

Then I try to find my way back to the part of the house I’m used to living in and go through a maze of more unfamiliar rooms, never finding my way back.

For example, when I correctly stated that the Koran says “Infidels must accept Islam; if they resist you, kill them and God will surely deliver them into your hands.” This is the truth, but I got several thumbs-down. Are they trying to ignore the truty?

Ok so I get this book from a co-worker cause its always a good idea to mix religion and work and she felt compelled to save me or something.
So I read it. Aside from the fact that its written in 3rd grade format anyone want to explain to me what the big deal is about this book.
Everyone says he has scripture to back up his expereinces, yet how do I know he just didnt make up a bunch od stuff and then back it up with scripture. I mean I could read and study the bible and then make up a story of experience based on what I read.
So what makes this guy so special and what sets him a part from a schizophrenic claiming to be kidnapped by aliens from Mars and was put unde extensive medical testing?
Seriously in the world of religion many have claimed alot of things...what makes this guy so believable?

If I am labeled as a sinner, why is it so bad to label Christians as close-minded? Christians believe I am going to rot in a pit of fire for eternity so why can't I shove them into a group also? If their beliefs are by the bible then I can't think of an instance that I wouldn't be labeled a sinner.

Last night I was crying unto God complaining that I've been seeking him for 6 yrs, and I'm very tired of not going anywere, so I was very angry and mad at God, then he said as I was about to fall asleep, I will come to u. That cheared me up, he heard my call. Then again last night as I was a sleep, kinda awake state of mind, I had a Dream or a vision. A teacher was teaching a classroom, and he said who has seeked the Lord your God sence he has risin, I the student said the greatseeker did. Then I woke up and another vison came upon me and showed me the word (all) and showed me my worship cd's. I woke up and the Lord said, I promise u, u will be in all worship. Witch to me said I will be very happy for my seek unto the God. Is that cool or what? The Lord says no one is seeking after him...why r u not seekin him..Romans 3:10-18

The LDS claim the ancient papyri that Joseph Smith supposedly translated from Egyptian language to create the book of Abraham was burned in a fire when, later in 1967 these same papyri had been found in the New York Metropolitan Museum. (Some, even with notes in Joseph Smith's own handwriting on the back of them!) In 1967 this same museum donated these papyri to the Mormon Church, and the Church agrees these are the same papyri Joseph used to produce the Book of Abraham. Soon after the Church began its own translation of the papyri, as did at least 4 other well known Egyptologists not associated with the Church. When the Egyptologists finished, all their translations resulted in basically the same translation, which concluded that the book of Abraham had absolutely nothing to do with the papyri! In fact, the papyri did not even mention Abraham's name! Instead, the papyri turned out to be common Egyptian funerary documents known as "The Book of the Dead" and "The Book of Breathings"
