If I am labeled as a sinner, why is it so bad to label Christians as close-minded? Christians believe I am going to rot in a pit of fire for eternity so why can't I shove them into a group also? If their beliefs are by the bible then I can't think of an instance that I wouldn't be labeled a sinner.

So, is there such an instance and if there is - wouldn't it go against what the bible says?

Why do people seem angry at the question? I am asking a valid question - not pointing fingers. I don't understand why anyone feels the need to "reciprocate" like I am saying anything negative. Calm down.

Christians admit that they are sinners too...they just try not to.
And it IS OK to say negative things about Christians. Just don't do it for the sake of hating. And careful about overgeneralizing, because - if you hadn't noticed - everybody interprets the same bible a little differently.

Some Christians believe that all you need is to be a good person. Most don't.....

So yes you can label Christians as close-minded..... However all are not close-minded some have doubt about their religion. I would judge people on a case by cases basis. Some have read books of a opposing view point. (that would make them open minded) I think you would be better of criticizing the bible or the logic behind the "evidence" of God. This will make things less personal.

Any way try not to be like them...... Every person is different.

Most christians do not realize that the bible was "approved" by a pagan Roman emperor. That many texts in circulation at the time were "banned from the bible" because they encouraged a more personal communion with God, one that didn't involve priests, bishops, pope, and building of worship.
If I told everyone that they were sinners and had to come to me to be purified...wow- what power that would give me over everyone else.
Did you know that some of the early "churches" were just groups that met at one anothers homes. They had no one who was in charge. Whoever was moved to teach- simply taught the rest. Every time they met, it changed up so that no one person was placed ahead of the rest. All were equal.
What happened to that? If that way of thought had continued, then I doubt anyone would be feeling sterotyped nowadays.

We are ALL sinners, in need of a Savior to save us from the death sentence of sin. We all wear the sinner label from birth. The only way we can shed this label and the death sentence is to get redeemed by the blood sacrifice of the perfect lamb, Jesus Christ. My faith in my God/Jesus has washed my sins and my sin label is gone. Man's sin has given us a sinful start, but by the Mercy and Grace of God, we do not need to leave this world wearing that sin label, but can have a clean slate with the Redeemed label and go to Heaven to be with Our Savior!! Don't worry about what anyone labels you as, be very concerned how The Lord God sees you. He's our Judge and Father, not man.

It is OK to say negative things but it does not make them true if you say them.

We all are sinners, but God washes our sins away. If following Jesus is something you call close-minded, I am glad to be close-minded.

If you are going to rot in a pit of fire,do not blame Christians who are trying to give you a friendly warning about it, blame only yourself. Jesus' offer is the same for all of us. If you do not choose heaven, it is your choice. You can shove us into a group, that is OK. I am following Jesus, I am glad being in that group. You really do not make any sense to me, but the bottom line is that you have a free will, use it wisely. : )

you can say what you like. I may not like what you say and I pray that you be more tolerant.
I am a christian, but I don't like seeing it shoved down people's throats. You have to live an example of what is good and true and hope it insprires people to want to be like that. I am not perfect, but people chose what to do. Some with less evidence than others.
Its just that if you chose not to believe, if you go and look at the evidence, resourses, or ask people about why they beleive then I truely feel sorry for you and pray you "see the light"

I am sorry you feel that all Christians are closed minded. I am a Christian, but do not judge others by their beliefs. Quite the opposite, in fact. I am intrigued to learn about the beliefs of others. I do, personally believe that there is only one way to get into Heaven, but if one chooses not to agree with me or even believe in Heaven, then so be it.
P.S. we are all sinners in our own way, and if someone tells you they are not, they are lying =0)

You can say anything you want about Christians that's your right. But please don't come on the R/S section and not expect us to reciprocate. Think for yourself, and read the Bible, study God's word. We are all sinners, some of us are just saved by grace, and we want to share his salvation with you.

Jesus is Lord over all

no man can label you a sinner, only God can, or your own heart.
But if you do not believe in God it should not bother you what he thinks of you, and I don't know you or care to judge you, I wish you all happiness.
But I'm curios why do unbelievers attack Christans? I don't see Scientology or Buddhism or any other religions getting the effort or time and enegry that they give to bashing Christains.

Bottom line believe what you want, you have free will but don't be so closed minded that you attack others who don't agree with you.

Judgementalism is not great.

Point out the obvious is just making an observation.

If you observe something point it out.

But don't WALLOW in it if no one pays attentioin.

YOu job ENDS when you point it out.

You job is NOT to rub it in or get miffed.

That implies YOU playing GOD

We have a fault you see, mention it

That's all

Some of us will evaluate it, others will not

People ARE ALLOWED TO BE CLOSED MINDED

Atheist are JUST AS CLOSED MINDED

THEY REFUSE to allow for a GOD

What makes them so different from a FUNDAMENTALIST

Nothing.

What do Atheists think they have the RIGHT to be closed minded about GOD but get miffed when FUNDIES don't choose to acknowlege things like CARBON DATING

You want us to believe in CARBON DATING, cool

WE WANT YOU TO ACCEPT THAT GOD MAY (not does, but MAY) EXIST

Why won't you

CLOSE MINDED
