The people did not hate Jesus,He was hated and feared by the Pharisee`s and the Sadducees because He was a direct challenge to their interpretation of the law and how they themselves lived that law.
The Cheif Priests and hierarchy kept the poor people in submission to their will by making the law of Moses an unbearable burden and worse still many of them did not practice what they preached.
Jesus told the truth and they did not like it at all, but finally it was the fact that Jesus told the high Priest that they would see Him(Jesus) seated on the right side of God that sealed His fate.
I never venture to say who is in Hell my friend as this is not my right to do so,I am nobody`s judge

Hatred is perhaps the wrong word.
Misunderstood perhaps. Remember the Saviour taught principles which were outside Jewish ideologies, even though He expounded this to the learned men in the temple from time to time.
It was these same men who bayed for His blood - so why did they do this? To fulfill all righteousnes, the Lord was arrested, tried unlawfully, scourged and crucified.
Thsoe who behaved in this manner have the opportunity to hear and accept the gospel in the hereafter, so they may or may not go to the other place at the time of judgement.

To those in Answers R & S:
Please lighten up here. I am givng a simple explanation, not taking on everyone's issues, complaints, and woes. That's for another answer. Thank you.
In the Bible, people hated and rejected Jesus because of 2 reasons:
He wasn't who or what they expected, and
He got in the way of wrongdoers.
Kind of like these days, a bit.
God has told us in the Bible that those who reject Jesus as Lord and savior, will spend eternity in hell, which will occur after death, and become permanent when God renders his final judgement at the end.
Hope I helped!

If you are refuring to the actual person that was Christ, people don't like to be told that what they are doing is wrong. It's easier to demonize someone than it is to accept them and change. After they died I assume they went into the ground and rotted away. When you die, you will know if there is a hell or not. Anything else is mere speculation!

The people hated Jesus because they did not like to be told that they were wrong and people are the same today as then. They rejected His teachings and they are in Hell if they rejected Him because Jesus said " I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through me".

I think that: The top dogs in the Temple were not happy with him. They wanted to have all the power and Jesus was grabbing some of it (kind of). So they arranged to get him eliminated.
What happened to them when they died? I have guesses, but it's not my call.

I don't know how anyone that heard him teach could have hated him. To hear the teachings of love and understanding would have been beautiful. I think those people that hated him wanted power and money and they were scared of losing their power and money. I don't know why Jesus didn't try to talk to them too. I think he could've changed greedy hearts to love. It would have been nice if he could have stayed around longer than three years.

Promoting these fallacys is a disgrace.

Since dying on a cross was God's plan for His beloved son, I guess he had to turn their hearts-like he did the Pharaoh's in Exodus.
