Why is it that when a homosexual asks a question about being told that they are going to hell for their "lifestyle" and you answer them with what the Bible says then you become a hate filled person. After all if you don't want to belive it what is the point. After all hell is a biblical prophesy anyway so what difference does it mean.
It doesnt mean I'm judging. The bible if you are going to believe it says to call a sin a sin.Now that isn't me passing judgment or pushing my faith. It's just asking a specific question with a specific answer. No hate at all.

i was thinking about all the different answers chritsians give and some comming on here saying things that go aginst the bible like earllier today when someone posted that gays are not an abomination to God and that god will let gays into heaven... this is not a question about gays, but do christians on here acctually read and study the bible or do we just listen to what others say and not seek the bible for what it truly says? And the bible is a true book because i know someone will post something like that =)

God Bless

Ground rules:
1) Please do not flood me with a copy/paste from an Atheist website. I'm talking about what you consider to be the most glaring contradiction.

2) Please understand what a contradiction is. As Aristotle said “One cannot say of something that it is and that it is not in the same respect and at the same time" or by definition "A logical contradiction is a logical incompatibility between two or more propositions. It occurs when the propositions, taken together, yield two conclusions which form the logical inversions of each other."

3) Please understand what a contradiction is not. If I told you "Joe came over my house last night", and then later I told someone else "Some friends came over my house last night" - have I contradicted myself? No, I merely emphasized to you one of my friends that came over.

Please explain why what you have offered is a contradiction. I am looking for an in-depth answer not a shotgun "you are an idiot" answer, can we agree to that?

While reading another question, I thought of something else.
Everyone says GOD is perfect, right? According to what religion teaches from the bible, HE created everyone in his image... Okay, we have free will, he has free will. We make mistakes, he makes mistakes...So, is perfection really his imperfection?
In the bible it says that he regretted causing the flood and wiping out everything...this is admition that he thought he made a mistake, and regret by itself is a sign of imperfection, right...
Does this make any sense?

Please no nasty comments, this is just something that popped into my head.

I'm a Christian as well but all I really have is faith. I'm not sure about anything else. I was taught to believe in the bible but it doesn't go with science. If you're a Christian and you believe in the bible and evolution, does that mean God created man (that looks like a monkey?) How about dinosaurs? Science says dinosaurs existed before humans, but how can that be possible if man was created in the first seven days according to the bible?

Rhetorical question: If the bible was created by man with the help of God, doesn't that mean, it's flawed? Nothing in the WORLD is perfect.

I am a senior in a public high school doing an independent study in religion, I teach a class every Friday. I am giving a presentation along with a power point on Islam in one week. Islam is my favorite religion and I would really like to do a good job educating my class on it. I was wondering if any Muslim’s have anything that they think it is important for me to include, or any input at all. It is a basic overview (history, beliefs, etc) and I am also including a special section on discrimination against Muslims. Anything at all is welcome, I am also looking for sound clips, you tube videos, etc. Thank you for helping me.

Since Jesus is the son of God and died for all our sins, why have you made the conscious decision not to accept this, even though you would end up in hell?

I want to challenge God for a solution, especially because of my our innocent children. I have entered for a praying warfare programme with my pastor to pray for the restoration of my marriage; and the binding of her spiritual husband and evil weapons fashioned against my marriage (with 4 female children aged 3-10). Can i give God a time ultimatum, as I cannot wait for too long or indefinitely for a miracle? Serious answers please.

I am curious as to what process each of you employed, either intentionally or coincidentally, to determine your particular faith as correct. For some, this may have led to a conversion, and for other this may have been a confirmation of faith they were originally introduced to.

For myself, it is a continuous process through discussions of religious and philosophical matters with others. I wonder if this was significantly more cerebral than other people's experiences.

You work and plan for long lengths of time. You shift color and shape to fill the exact needs for the Magick to be true. The pattern is so beautiful and right it can be nearly painful. Then one wrong movement or jog of the pattern and it is all gone and can never be retrieved again.

I don't really know much about what was expected of the Messiah among Jews who lived around the time of Jesus. In Isaiah 53 we hear about the suffering servant, whom Christians take to be Jesus. But even if some people expected the Messiah to suffer or even be killed, was anybody expecting him to rise from the dead?
