Shouldn't we really think about outlawing it, or at least trying to prevent more people becoming infected?

Why did they refuse to sign the documents that would have guaranteed their freedom?
All they had to do was deny their God and their faith.
They chose imprisonment, torture and death instead. What would you have done?

Don't tell me all the times I get a thumbs down from a good response that includes the fact I'm an atheist are not from Christians. They make up more than 60%... maybe 75% of this board. I have also noticed that Pagans and Wiccans get thumbs downs from good responses when their admit their spiritual stance.

So what's the deal guys? Are you all hypocrites? Should you really be judging others' responses? And if you think it acceptable to give thumbs ups/downs, why do you do so based on religion?

Not to generalize, but you TOTALLY know who you are.
Note: In this question, if you are Christian I will give you a thumbs up or thumbs down based on how good your ANSWER is, not my beliefs.

Let me get this right......We have a universe that contains many things that are obviously bad and "apparently" meaningless, but containing creatures like ourselves who KNOW that it is bad and meaningless........and this came to be from "NOTHING?...I don't know.......

Would that be enough for you to believe in GOD creator of the Universe? if not then how would you reconcile life exsisted beyond our own?

What are you looking for that would help you believe that GOD exsists? or is it you just have no use for GOD and could care less if he exsists or not?

I am Christian, but my relgion does not sit there and say that homosexuals are trying to take over, or that they are an abomonation to God, and need to be stopped...

thats rediculous, they are just people, trying to live their lives in the way that makes them happy...

and, why even bother to do anything about it?? if they really are an abomination, as people say, than God would deal with it, you have no right to judge, or take action against them

I just became curious about this,I wanted to know if a Christian or A Born Again Christian can get divorved? It doesn't make sense to me why the bible says you can't because what if you fall out of love with someone?Or you realize your not as in love with the person you married as you were when you married him/her?I also don't get why the only good reason for divorce is adultry?I mean Ok..in a Womens case what if a guy beats her? It's wrong for her to leave and want to divorce the guy doing it?I believe in God and everything I'm a Christian myself I just don't understand why Divorce is so wrong in the eyes of God thats all.

Ok, so I don't believe the whole world was under water, and I don't believe a snake convinced the first humans to sin. Why should I believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, that he healed the sick, or was God?

Jesus tells us that the spirit is called the soul while it is still housed in our body, but after the body dies, and the soul is released it is called the spirit. The spirit enter the body at the body's first breath and leaves upon it;s last breath. Some spirits have seen their body lying below them, they are not leaving the body they are returning. A new spirit entering a body can only do so after the body (house) has been emptied ( all trash removed) swept (loss of past life and heaven knowledge) and garnished (given a sex) this is why some are born homosexuals (I don't belong in this body)

I'm losing my faith. I try to be a rational person, but is there no rationality in Biblical teachings?

"You shouldn't judge other people".

I hear this especially from christians, but can anyone give me a definition of 'judge' in this sense?

Do we not always and unavoidably make judgements about people? Is it to morally judge somebody only?

If the bible is true, Adam and Eve's children reproduced, and therefore we are all offspring, then doesn't that make a few sound like hypocrites?

I'm not trying to sound anti-Christian - I have close friends of all faiths, Christians, Jehovah’s Witnesses etc, but I'm just trying to make sense of it all.

this includes creationists. I saw your responses to another question. When did this intelligent design take place? how can we find out? and if we can't, then what's the point? (other than to force christian morality into all walks of life of course) I mean you know that 99% of the species that have ever walked the earth don't anymore right? pretty crappy design.

seriously, some guy talked about the complexity of our bodies. Apes have the same complexity, the only big differences are in brain chemistry, which has been explained by evolution.

I know what is is, but what does it mean? I keep hearing stuff about atheists and foxholes. English is not my first language and I never heard that expression. I don't think there is an equivalent in french, "la tanière du renard" doesn't ring any bell.

Is religion really holding science back in the discovery of cures via stem cell research? Before you jump in and say "yes", think about this: There are other ways to get stem cells, ways that Christianity would be happy to put their support in. Imbilical cord stem cells, adult stem cells and placenta stem cells, all of which do not destroy life and have shown either results or the potential for results. So, why is it if science only focuses on one way, ignoring the other ways that can help humanity, that it's Christianity's fault? Should scientists be exploring these other options, or is it easier to blame religion then to get up and actually do something?
