Proud as in Egoist, then NO. But proud enough not to beg, or ask for any kind of favours. Proud to live independently without burdening others. Yes I am a proud person holding my head high even in adverse conditions.....

Of some things, yes. Proud of the respect I have from my peers. Proud of the recognition I get from my bosses. And I am comfortable in my own skin, which is as much as anyone can ask for.
