Especially, when women were burned at the stake, accused has witches. If you look in history, Women, were killed for stupid things. Some were killed just by talking to another women, accused of plotting evil things against men. Women, had no rights, if they were speak up, they were burned and accused of being possessed by demons. Their are alot of evidence proving this. I am just wondering why so much media is making Isalm, a women hating society? I think we need to stop putting down islam.

I just answered a question on Bible studies in high school in TX.

Why would anyone be against teaching anything? Kids in highschool dont ask to be taught Math, or Science for that matter. They usually dont get what all the fuss is about. But isnt knowledge sacred?

What difference does it make if they learn religion or not..the best thing would be to learn the facts of life and they have a right to know what Christians believe in. Even if theyre not Christian themselves.

I'm an atheist, and 90% of my school friends are as well. Do you think it's just coincidence, or do you think atheists tend to naturally flock together, especially as teenagers. We started to hang together before we knew we were all atheists, and then once one person came out, everyone else did to. or are there just more teenage atheists than I thought? I'm just interested in hearing another opinion on this matter.

I beleive creationists and intelligent designers (creationism veiled in a shiny new outfit) are some of the most ignorant people on the earth. They beleive that the earth was "created" about 6000 years ago - which happens to be about 1000 years after the sumerians invented glue. They beleive that either there were no dinosaurs - or that they were aboard "noah's ark" with the other animals. Sure - There were a couple of T-Rex's in the pen right next to the cows. Come on - are you people that stupid - or are you now starting to bend in the wake of enormous evidence supporting the truth. That the earth is billions of years old, that humankind is an ever evolving species that came from apes, that came from..... If you don't beleive in science - don't benefit from it. Throw away your computer, your appliances, your cars, etc. and just go away to an agrarian society and live off the land.

and then that person committed murder. many of the answers i got stated that this person obviously wasn't sincere and didn't recieve the holy spirit.

does this mean that christians who remain hatefull, self-centered, jealous, materialistic, greedy, and dishonest have not truly recieved the holy spirit either???

There is a bill in our state House sponsered by some fundie from the panhandle (bible country, big time) to FORCE Texas schools to have a course in high school on the bible.
The schools can hire anyone they want to teach it and the ciriculum is entirely up to the school.

So far no course on Buddhism, Islam, or Hindu. Is that fair?
