"DNA evidence shows that the ancestors of early American settlers came from Asia, not the Middle East."

Do you have an explanation for this? Or do you agree with this statement:
"But religion ultimately does not rest on scientific evidence, but on mystical experiences. There are different ways of looking at truth,"

If so, do you really think God would want you to believe something contrary to reality? Contrary to what is demonstrably true, scientifically?

Many christians especially the born-agains are claiming that those who do not believe in Jesus as god and saviour will not be saved; meaning be thrown to the hell fire! If God is love as they keep on telling us, why would He put into fire the 3 billion people (and counting) who do not believe in Jesus as god and saviour? Is this fare? Can that be love? Roasting the poor souls even though they had a virtous way of life on earth?

The universe "hears" but not the details as you might so desperately want it to .

It hears your emotional conclusion(s) to a matter .

If you believe that you deserve X it starts to move in that direction .

One man kills a cow to him it is wrong - He concludes he is bad and feels as such .........The universe hears that he is bad the man told it so

Another man kills a cow and thinks nothing of it - The universe hears nothing

Now this is a problem at some levels for many of us because I believe that you have done somthing wrong in killing the cow.

Ever wonder why it is that when I or the state punishes you that it wants you to accept thier version of morality ?

I think what you did was wrong and I want you to tell the universe that you are bad - What you tell the uuniverse will effect your after life

I'd like you to accept my version and tell the universe my story

If you don't however your created morality was not transgrssed etc

Now on the wish list thing it hears the same way Your emotional conclusion to the matter No details

It does not care for the who's and what's and where's

You say your good/bad and should be rewarded/punished it will agree with you and move in that direction for you

The above is just my belief

So when you create a god and an afterlife and a set of "morals" be careful in what you create You will have to love with it for a long time

Does the way you live your life glorify Christ, because thats the point of being born again... living in sin is not the way you should be living. If your still wallowing in sin, than thats not the way its supposed to be. your supposed to live a life of repentance and forgiveness, and strive to glorify God in everything you do. The bible says youll be known by the fruits you bear, so people should be able to see you and know that you follow Christ because the love, faith, devotion, and Humility you show. These are some things that i struggle with, and its something that, if you take it seriously, can change your life for the glory of his kingdom. So thats kinda my rhetorical question, what are you living your life for, and who are you choosing to follow... the sin of the world, or the love and compassion of Christ. Whats more important to you, the love of God, or the materialistic things of this sinful and dying world. Really look at your life, and there may be things needing change.

and taking away from the word of God. they answered that at that time there was no bible. that is a cop out. When Joseph Smith allegedly received his calling there was a bible at this time. So why do the Mormons use such bumper sticker cliches in all of their answers? I have seen it here time after time all you get is what they have been told to say? Are they too afraid to ask questions that may stir their culture? What are you afraid of? If you could answer a simple question with the truth what would this do to your relationship with the LDS church? All we get a vague answers, You need to back up your faith with scriptures from the bible without taking the scriptures out of context. I was told back in the 70's by two of your missionaries that Mormons were not christians. That Jesus and Satan are brothers, a very blasphemous and dangerous doctrine. What happened in the past 30 years did one of your prophets have a vision, that changed the whole mormon church? TRUTH tell it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Islam is becoming a problem for Europe and the West!

Thats what the politicians and the media are trying to show to the masses! Is Hitler back amongst us again
trying to "dictate" to the masses in the same way the Nazi propaganda machine was working in world war two against the Jews? I thought we had come a long way away from this kind of thinking and domination. I
thought the world had learned from its past! Now they turn to Islam and muslims and want to see us as the
open enemy. What have we done? Do they want to trample us to death with all their fears over us!

What does Islam really bring which makes even presidents and countries afraid to the ears! OK,
terrorists can make anybody afraid of course even me! But now who has turned into the bigger "Terrorist"
himself! Its the Media and the Governments of today along with their secret services and special spying
networks. Who should I be more afraid of now? The Terrorist network or the Government Agencies who are attacking my way of life through Media and Government strategies? Who is attacking whom now? Who is attacking my religion? Who is attacking my privacy? Who is discriminating us now? Who feels safer now? What are you afraid off? Me, or my religion? Or are you afraid of my way of life which is not the same as yours? Are you afraid of my opinions and way of thinking as well? Do you want to destroy me and for what I stand for? I accepted Islam as my religion under my own free will! Is this what the West is
afraid is happening? That people start to have their own FREE will and are no longer under their influence.
Why is it that so many westerners have embraced islam? Why doesnt anyone talk about that? Why doesnt the Western Media see that Islam is becoming an influence in the world and crosses borders into peoples hearts without force. Why is Islam spreading so fast? Why dont they talk about that? Does that mean Islam will be dominating peoples lives under their own FREE will. Because they accepted it, and were not forced! That is why the West with its Media machine is in such a hurry to show Islam as bad, and that muslims are bad. What will they say one day in the future when more and more of their people accept islam in droves...............will they say then that their own people are BAD. Islam is not bad, its only the people who are bad. Bad people are everywhere even among muslims. People make themselves bad, thats their own FREE choice.

Some think of it as a decoration worn by Christians.

The cross to me was our victory over sin and the devil. We were crucified along with Jesus that day, and the whole world was effected by it.

Please do a search on Yahoo for muslims condemn terror and see what comes up. Yahoo is allowing people to rant, bash, and insult repeatedly but is not allowing muslims to defend themselves, no surprise, so I can't post the link. Yahoo seems to be in favor of not allowing muslims to speak out, therefore enforcing the idea that we don't speak out. Kinda funny, since that link has never once been even mentioned in the news.

I don’t want to offend anyone I am just looking for an answer to a statement that I was told.

Is it true that the Church Of Christ(GOD) believe they are the one true religion and everyone else is devils or evil.

the reason I ask is because a preacher said he had a girl in his congregation come to him and introduce her fiancée. Pastor knew her well but never seen him before. They got to talking and the pastor found out about his religion. He ask what religion they would raise their kids. He started to squirm. She assume her religion. but the guy interjected and said it would be his religion.. The pastor ask why and the guy had to tell her why. She was shocked. So this is why I am asking.

My husband does not profess to believe in any God. I knew this when we met and it has not altered any in the almost five years we have been married.
Although I feel sad to think he has nothing to believe in, I do not pressure him into believing anything. We have four girls, and though I do not teach them by bringing them to church, they learn through life and family, friends etc. He is fine with my teaching them about Christianity and does not take it away one bit.
Would you have a problem with a spouse who did not share your beliefs? Would you even give the relationship half of a chance?
I would like to know, honestly what your opinions are.
