What do you do to get back to sleep?

Yes, I usually turn on the tv and watch the news.

Some nights I take a Tylenol PM if I think of it early enough in the evening. You really need to have a full eight hours of sleep on those, just like they say. It's true. I only take one instead of two like the instructions indicate. One is enough.

Hopefully the zoo there is peaceful enough for you to get a good night of rest.

Do you have got this trouble the entire time? I frequently simplest sleep below four hours an afternoon, which is not a trouble for me. When persons sleep at night time, they frequently simplest get two-four hours of rewarding R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. The trouble is that it frequently takes 6-10 hours for so much persons to get the ones two-four hours of R.E.M. I cross right into a R.E.M. state just about instantly, so I don't have any issues with feeling worn out afterwards. I honestly HATE sound asleep. It is this sort of waste of time. Think approximately it: should you sleep eight hours an afternoon, whilst you flip 30, you could have slept for 10 years of your existence!!! That is rediculous!!!!

So I was just pondering if there was anyone else on here still awake on eastern standard and poof your question appears. It's nearly 330 in the morning and I could not be more awake.

I have extreme problems sleeping. Apparently if we are answering your question here at this time though--we would not be able to answer the 2nd part about how to get back to sleep. Clearly we don't know the answer to that. Is your problem getting to sleep or getting BACK to sleep? According to Ambien, they are different and Ambien helps each problem.

Usually I try to convince myself that I have to stay awake. You know if you are extremely tired and trying to force yourself to stay awake, you lose. So I figured if I tried to force myself to keep my eyes open, I'd lose. (Is it possible to do reverse psychology on yourself when you know its "reversed"?) But when I'm this awake, that doesn't have a chance of working.

**Edit***
well I searched the house but had no bourbon (thanks to the constant drinking game), no chocolate milk and apparently the Tylonel PM disappeared (grrr). So I wanted to see if you Uncle would chime in with additional details on your sleep loss but you didn't. (probably went to sleep without sharing the details) So at 5:45 EST I'm going to lay in bed a bit and do why my mother said...if you just lay still long enough in the dark you'll fall asleep!

And RLH let me know when you finally passed out and make sure to edit with details on "what did you do to get back to sleep"....maybe in the morning those that were asleep now could answer this question with how they do it.

No generaly I do not. I often read before sleeping the bible or other books on Christianity. I am reading knowing God just now. I pray and think on God's love while going to sleep.

I generally have trouble going to bed -- too many distractions -- until exhausted. On those occasions I do wake up and need to get more rest, I've found getting up and moving a bit, perhaps some ibuprofen and/or a warm shower, and I'm ready to crash again.

I would say yes I'm on YA at 222 in the morning. I usually go to sleep when a question like this reminds me I need to get up in the morning. Thanks

Here's an idea for you. Read the bible. If you fall asleep, well, goal accomplished. And if not, it'll definitely do you good anyway.

I used to...I have to force my self to stay in bed and try not to think too much. Sometimes it takes hours to fall asleep...sometimes just minutes.
To Phantom...I'm on EST and I'm awake too! :(

EDIT:
6:40am EST - still awake - how'd you do?
