I hope that wasn't confusing. well we know that you can't have faith without works. So, what works can I do to show my faith? I mean, the bible says that the Just liveth by faith. i want to be just, but faith alone isn't even true faith. So, how do i take it a step furtherer?

Just a note. I am saved. I have been for years. But the Lord has given me some focus on the promises he's given to the just. if you are just, then God will fulfill the promises he made to the Just in you. Obviously, of those promises are not being fulfilled, then there is an error I am making, or some place in which I'm lacking. So I looked up all the scriptures in the bible about "the Just". And I found that The Just are always tied to faith. Now I believe that it's obvious that perhaps, though I believe, go to church, and avoid sin that I'm lacking in putting my faith to use. When I realized this I started challenging myself to use my faith... but hmm how?

Read your Bible daily, prayer, fasting, soul winning, Bible study, go to church whenever the doors are open, dress modestly, use whatever talent you have to serve your church and other Christians, read good books.

The Bible does not teach automatic salvation.
Salvation is a gift from God.
Faith and works put us in good standing before Jehovah, but only Jehovah will judge the living and the dead and determine who is deserving of eternal life.
As far as what works a Christian undertakes can be found by following Jesus' example.
Jesus showed mercy and kindness to all.
Love of God should move us as it did Jesus to do God's will and
God's will is that all sorts of men should be saved. But how?
Just as Jesus preached from house to house and wherever people could be found,we follow Christ's example and obey his command found at Matt.28:19,20 to "go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations..."
Works would involve our putting spiritual interests first and not go on pursuing material things and secular prominance.
Faith without works is dead but strong faith has to be accompanied by right acts .

It's not that you have to do specific works for your faith to have life. This means that you need to add action to your faith. God may tell you that He will provide you with a new home but if you never check out the available homes in your area or talk to a realtor you may never get the home. You need to take the steps you know to take and let God handle the outcome.

Well, once a lawyer asked Christ what he could do to inherit eternal life. Christ asked the lawyer what the law said about that, to which the lawyer said that the law said to follow the two great commandments (love God and love thy neighbor). Christ said, "Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live."
The lawyer then asked, "And who is my neighbor?"
Christ then gave the Parable of the Good Samaritan (in which a man was robbed, beaten, and left for dead; a priest and a Levite passed him by without rendering aid before a Samaritan stopped and helped him), and then asked the lawyer who of those three (the priest, Levite, and Samaritan) was the neighbor unto the robbery victim. The lawyer's answer was "He that shewed mercy on him."
Christ then responded with, "Go, and do thou likewise."
So to answer your question, besides loving the Lord (and thus keeping His commandments), go and be a neighbor to those around you!

Do things with your heart set on God. Help someone who needs it, even if they don't know you did it, for God. Do it because it's what He would want you to do. He will test your deeds at your time of judgment and you will be rewarded for everything you do that is for His sake.

Here is a difficult "work".
When ever someone is rude to you or offends you directly in some way, instead of paying them back with evil, pay them back as if they had done a kind act or deed or said a kind word.
(betcha can't do it)

Means to be doers of the word not hearers of the word. Jesus said if you love Him, obey His commandments. Know His word to equip yourself and do His commanments because you love Him.

if you give you life to Jesus he will show you what works you should do. it is not doing work to show faith but having the faith you will show Gods work. look to Jesus first he is our Guide.
