Bush said that god himself revealed to him and said that War on Iraq is a legal one and it is all good on his part to go to the war. I think that's how he justified Iraqi war, by claiming to talk to his god, i.e. christian god.

NOW THIS HAS TO BE TRUE!

I mean muslims deserve all that because they're offending the Jesus by not believing in him as son of God. Don't you think it's all good in Iraqi war?

i don't like when people condemning muslims. They are brothers and sisters of christianity. Maybe they are a bit aggressive. Do you know Allah is the same God which Christians worship? Somehow only difference is that Muslims follow rules and law strictly but Christians show love towards a sin. They say only 1 God exist but we believe God has a son and he is a God. Muslims are not bad. Don't you see many bad people who are calling them selves Christians?

They follow old testement, we follow old and new testament. Somehow christian concentrate on the new one. Look at them, they don't wear fancy clothes, they remove sandles before going into mosque, they pray at right time no matter what, they have no statues in the mosque. But we, we wear fancy clothes, never remove shoes, kiss and hug statues, sometimes misses the sunday mass.

On the morning when my grandson Dylan died at age 3 months (crib death) I received a call from my daughter screaming that he was not breathing, I live only minuts away and took half that time to get there, to find my daughter screaming and wailing in a corner and my son in law giving CPR to this lifeless body. Very shortly after that my parent (very strict Catholics) arrived, my mother took one look and went straight to the window, did the sign of the cross and stayed there tearless praying. It has taken my family a long time to come to terms with such a sensless death. For my parents, tears were not shed, just words of encouragment that the lil man is now in the arms of God. What about my daughers arms, our arms. To me my parents had and have no reality with so many things because their beliefs are so obessional. My question is...... Do you think in some way people use their belief in religion as a way of not dealing with some real painful and reality based things that happen

Me and my family converted a month ago, after meeting you here Guys and girls and I argued with a great user here who told me in private not to say his name again in public, I wanna ask you:

1- I read in a book that a woman slandered Al Hajjaj and his father, so he lashed her 160 lashes after he tied her in the pillar of the mosque in baghdad, she was a crazy woman, So, Insanity is no defence in Islam?

2- Is music and singing really forbidden or Harram?

3- What's the best thing you can do to get closer to Allah?

4- Are Statutes and paintings forbidden?

Thank you all in advance, only serious answers please, I wish my great friend comes here to answer too.

First off, I'm Catholic, and I have no intention of bashing anyone. so here goes...

If fundamentalists read the bible literally (assuming they don't take anything metaphorically; i'm not even sure that's a fair assumption)...

What is a fundamentalist Christian's stand on genetics and evolution, assuming they subscribe to people being created in one day?

And what version of the Bible do they read -- Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, etc.-- or is it different for different fundamentalists?

Contradictions are obvious in the Bible especially the sequence of the creation. Genesis chapter 1 tells us that man came after everything else but in chapter 2 it tells us God saw that man should not be alone so He made animals to be with Adam and after it Eve. Well then its obvious that Gen. 2 tells us man came before animals. But hey guys Gen. 1 tells us man came after everything.

If no one can refute the contradiction then the Creation Theory is not that strong to support how we are created.

All christians agree that the 39 books in the o.t. and 27 books in the n.t. to be inspired by GOD and completely accurate and consistent. True? All other religious texts constitute hearesy and are to be avoided. Also true? Then how do you account for the fact that Moses' account of the ten commandments in Exodus cannot possibly be true? According to moses he made two trips up the mountain to receive these commandments. The second set is NOT the same as the first set.The first set is listed in Exodus:20;1-17, and the second set is listed in Exodus 34:12-26. Since Moses claims in the story that they were the same and they're not, how can we believe him? By the way, Jesus corrects other mistakes Moses made in the apocryphon of John. One of the heretical books banned by the christian church. Everyone who chooses to believe Moses over Jesus is wrong.

http://www.muslim.org/islam/abuse.htm

Do some of you honestly think we are supposed to kill over insults? That's just crazy. Look at the link. It shows, very nicely, how this is not true and what Islam DOES instruct muslims to do in the face of verbal abuse and insults. I hope you find this informative and you see that those who kill over words are doing it over cultural "honor", if that's what they want to call being overloaded with testosterone.

For 12 years I would call myself a christian - attending an evangelical church every week. I was an On-Air minister. I haven't set foot in a church in 3 years. It has been the most exciting journey with God I could have imagined. My faith is transformed. I'm still shaking off the dross that church indoctrinated within me. For me, church is damaging, limiting, misguiding, cultic, brainwashing and ties up the precious time of family life. God is awesome outside that box.

http://www.crescentlife.com/thisthat/macho%20muslims/muslim_men's_role_in_eliminating_oppression_of_women.htm

This is an article on muslim men, from muslims, on how it's their duty to curb abuse and it details how they can change themselves. For those that like to say muslim women are abused, does this have any effect on your attitudes? I know many have seen the mistranslated english copy of the Quran, and it angers me that instead of using the translation of literally leaving the area as it is the other 5 times it is used, it suddenly changes meaning in this verse. In other words, abuse has no place in Islam. The Quran says men may not harm their wives. In many places. What do you think of this article?

Beardless, as the Good Shepherd, By the fourth century He is depicted as having a beard as often in modern art. Old testament descriptions of King David allude to his physical attractiveness, it is interesting that there is very little in reference to Christ's appearance. I find it interesting how the earliest known renditions describe Him. But I must say that regardless of the Savior's outward appearance , I love and serve Him for Who and What He is, agree?
Are we looking for a savior who matches our image of Him.
Or are we unconditionally loving a savior Who gave Himself for us?
