what do you believe in? Do you believe that when you die, you just die? Isn't that depressing for you to live your whole life thinking like that?

I was very convicted at a retreat that I went on. The speaker said why dont we hunger and thirst for Gods true righteouness? He said the answer is we fill up on what the world has to offer that we are full and as a result don't hunger for Gods word.

I want to grow more in God and be content and I realize "more" is not always "better" but why is the world so materialistic and complicated? Why arent people sastified even when they have more than enough? I thought I would toss this one "out there" as this has been on my mind.

The novena starts like this... "Oh Jesus who has said heaven and earth shall pass but my word has not, through the intercession of Mary your most holy mother I humbly and urgently ask thy Father, in thy name to grant my request..... " I am hoping someone knows of this novena and can help me to find it. Or at least remember it.

You only have to say the novena once an hour for 9 hours. And it was called a child like novena. There was a picture of a child dressed with a hat and he is wearing a white
gown.
I would appreciate any help in locating this novena.
Thank you

Phil 2:10-11
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

An Egyptian border guard recorded watching two Hebrews try and escape "over the wall" in one instance, which shows how vigilant those Egyptians were. So how come they TOTALLY missed recording the mass escape of 600,000 Israelites in the Exodus. A 200-mile long crowd of people "on the run" and no-one thought it worthy of mention?

I'm not a hater or a troll so don’t blast me or insult me for this comment but it seems to me that the whole 'secret' is predicated on an incredibly juvenile misunderstanding of physics. They claim that everything in the universe is made up of energy. That’s an astoundingly ignorant statement. In the deleted scene portion of the bonus materials part of the DVD (original edition) some guy shows Einstein's great equation E=MC^2 then continues to misinterpret it suggesting a knowledge of physics equal to a middleschooler. He makes the common mistake of thinking that energy is the building block of matter; that when you break something down to its smallest part you'll get energy. Not true. More properly, the equation implies that mass (a property) is a kind of energy (like kinetic energy is a kind of energy). That is, everything with mass *has* energy, not "is made up of" energy. Energy is a property, like mass, momentum and charge, not a substance like water or iron that things can

1. A person "not a christian" marries a non-Christian when they are very young. But is abusive. Spouce divorces that person.

2. The person after the divorce goes for treatment and finds they are Bi-polor, after starting a medical treatment, the person is undercontrol. Later the person becomes a Christian and after much study becomes a Minister.

3. Person re-marries but spouse commets adultery. Person chooses to divorce on Biblical grounds.

4.Person stays very active in ministry, and through desire to help (however misguided) tries to help an illegal to stay in the U.S. my marrying the illegal.

5. Turns out illegal tried to turn the tables and took the person to court to try to gain permanent residence by claiming "forced marriage". Person was found innocent and granted a divorce.

6. After doing ministry several years longer Person met and married a Christian. They work together in the ministry.

DOES PERSON BIBLICALLY HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN A PASTOR, MINISTER,or ?

feel so strongly about ridiculing Christians and, put down every question asked? It only confirms our feelings about what this world is coming to. They seem to stereo type everyone.
If we find out an Atheist on TV just raped and killed a person, should we assume all Atheist are rapist killers?
If you don't believe in Jesus then Great! Good for you! But don't try to chastise someone else for what they believe in. We will all find out the truth one way or another right! Let’s just see where we all end up. If Christians are wrong, then so be it, we will just not exist anymore right? If we are right, then we will exist, except you will get to go somewhere you never dreamed you would be right!
Good luck to all. I don't judge people for who they are but, I don't like being judged because of my belief. JESUS is my savior. He doesn't have to be yours! If he isn't there when I pass, oh well, I wouldn't have changed too much anyway here on earth.

My sister's friend is staying the night (unannounced) in the house.

My mother and sister are Methodist, I'm Catholic, and my dad is Jewish.

The whole point is, she's in the room bad-mouthing Christians, and our God and beliefs.

I really don't like having her here. I tried to wake my mom up to let her know, but she got back from the emergency room today, and she's really tired.

Any ideas? Or special prayers?

PLEASE no sarcastic answers. Wouldn't it be alot nicer to earn 10 points instead of 2?

I am trying to present a logical argument to the theists, but they keep preaching and quoting the bible. Listen to my argument and tell me if it makes sense...
First off, there is nowhere in the bible where it says that God is all powerful, all knowing, omniscient, omnipotent, etc. These are characteristics completely fabricated by people. Second, why is it that just because God was able to create us humans, who seem to be an absturse creation, people think that God can do anything? Perhaps creating humans is a simple task. Just because God can do one wonderful thing doesn't mean he can do ALL the wonderful things. You see, all of these characteristics are relative. There is always someone smarter than me, you, and everyone on this website. Just because the smartest being you can conceive of is God does not mean that he is the smartest. All it means is that he is the smartest being YOU, as an ignorant and little knowing human can conceive. That's all.

The 1st time I became very interested in God I felt a pain in my chest (my stomach). It was horrible and it spread to the bottom of my throat. It went away and I have tears running down my face. After that i always felt a real good feeling (love and fascination of God) in my stomach chest a lot (holy spirit). What happened to me at that painful time?

I have been a southern baptist all my life. there are many denominations out there, and i do believe one is right from another, but i dont believe it matters to the extent that many people make it out to be, as long as the church praises god and preaches the word. But i have heard that the church of christ believes you cant go to heaven unless you are a member of that church and you can use musical instruments in there services, and a few other odd beliefs. Can someone explain to me there maybe different beliefs and why they do believe so?? Thank you
