Why does this question get asked once a week?

Once Jesus Christ returns and removes all wickedness from the earth at Armageddon, the righteous ones exercising faith in him and doing the will of God will survive Armageddon with protection from God, they are going to reside on the earth forever, God is giving the earth to the meek ones as an inheritance. During Christ's millennial reign, all those in their memorial tombs will come out at the resurrection, the righteous will receive life, the unrighteous receive judgment on what they do during his reign. If they learn and accept Jesus as their savior and do the will of God, they to will receive life. Then when Satan is released from the abyss for the final test, all who pass that test and remain on God's side will be blessed with eternal life on a restored paradise earth. That has always been God's purpose for mankind and the earth and it has not changed. The Scriptures say that not a word uttered forth from God's mouth will return to him without results.

Again you can liken that to the old west, land was shared out, but some men wanted more than their share and stole land. The meek were pushed off their land I think because of their gentle nature so the strong took advantage of them. Jesus is saying things wont always be like that as the meek will come out on top.

Excellent Question!! Humans define "meek", as deficient in spirit and courage, not strong (Merriam-Webster). By this definition, who would want to be meek? :)

However, it is the Word of God we must put first!!

Jesus was God in the Flesh...filled with power, courage, and strength. He states: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Matthew 11:29)"

Thus, based on scripture, Meek refers to those who are humble, strong in mind, and heart, who also possess the qualities and characteristics of Jesus described as the Fruits of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Timidity and meekness are not the same.

Blessings, Miji

It is obvious he was making a prediction about the emergence of a race of genetically altered humans, the blue-skinned "Meeks" (not to be confounded with the Smurfs), able to withstand intense environmental conditions.

If Heaven was made for humans why did God create a Earth, A sun to warm it, an ecosystem for life to grow on it, an atmosphere to protect it?

The genesis account talks of the first human pair in a paradise but once ejected they found the world around them barren and Inhospitable making it difficult to raise crops.

They were told to multiply and make the Earth an Eden (but never happen because of breaking God's law).

Jesus restored that promised of a paradise for those that follow his commandments and will be allowed to enter into his kingdom which is in heaven (144,000 will rule with Jesus, Rev 7:4-8) and on the EARTH (the great crowd, Rev 7:9) from every nation and tribe. Matt 6:10

The Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope for the Great Crowd. (Rev 7:9)

(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Meek was not a weak term. It was synonomous with patience. The Biblical definition of patience was "to wait without complaining" - It takes a strong person to wait without complaining. --- Just remember that the next time you are standing in line. -- are you strong and meek, or are you an irritant to all that have to listen to you complain?

Jesus said this because it's the earth that was created for humans to live on(Isaiah45:18) and heaven was to be a dwelling place for God and the angels.
