They should not get a second chance. Two reasons:
1) Religion and government should be kept separate (separation of church and state).
2) Regardless of beliefs, people should be held accountable for their actions.

As a born again Christian, I would be very happy to hear that a death row inmate (or anyone for that matter) came to an understanding of the truth and responded positively to God's Good News. However, the law should be neutral when it comes to the religion of criminals. The death row inmate had a choice to kill or not to kill his or her victim. And if he or she chose to kill (presumably knowing the death penalty consequences), then he or she must live (or die) with that choice.
The law should judge us on based on what we do or do not do; not on the beliefs we do or do not profess.

When a person becomes born again, his sins are forgiven by God and the eternal consequences of those sins are erased. However, the temporal consequences are not, necessarily, taken away. That means if a person commits a crime and then becomes born again, he isn't necessarily let out of prison or off death row.
Only God can decide why He wants to continue to use someone in this life and why He wants to call someone home.

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
The Acts 10:34
and the death row convict was sinned out of without knowing the true gospel. they can be repent. but if you planed, willfully and crimnaly disobey the law. here is the verse
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins ,

As a born again Christian they will want to make sure justice is served, so they will not be afraid to die because they know their sin is covered by the Lord Jesus Christ. Also the government, any one in the world, would not let them out, the world is against Christ. However, even though they die they will have peace.

No, they should move the execution up. I mean if they are really born again then why would they want a second chance at this life, wouldn't they be chomping at the bit to get to heaven? If they aren't then they must not really be born again.

I do not think someone who rapes and murders children should get a second chance at life just because he decides he's a "born again christian". I think he should be castrated, disemboweled, and should have to watch his bodyparts being fed to pigs before being left to die slowly and painfully.
Just my opinion though.

That's not the point of becoming a born again christian, which is to be saved from hell through grace.

Not necessarily, if they are supposed to be released something will happen so they will, but normally they will go to be with the Lord when they are executed.. And that is the whole purpose of this life (where you go afterwards is everything)
