I never felt it like a Holy Book as Quraan, though many things will be there from the original Bible but I always smell it a lot of self arranged dialogues??? I mean I smell human words more than the words of God.......Please no offence just try a comparison between Quraan and Bible may b u will agree......

[HMSajdah 41:9] Say “What! You disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two days, and you appoint equals to Him? He is the Lord Of The Creation!”
[HMSajdah 41:10] And in it He placed mountains as anchors from above it, and blessings in it, and appointed the sustenance for those who dwell in it - all this in four days; a proper answer to those who question.
[HMSajdah 41:11] He then inclined towards the heavens and it was smoke - thereupon He said to it and to the earth, “Both of you present yourselves, willingly or with reluctance”; they said, “We present ourselves, with zeal.”
[HMSajdah 41:12] He then established them into seven heavens in two days, and to each heaven He sent the command of its affairs; and We decorated the lower heaven with lamps; and for its protection; this is the command set by the Most Honourable, the All Knowing.

[Nisa 4:176] O dear Prophet (Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), they ask you for a decree; say, "Allah decrees you concerning the solitary person (without parents or children); if a man dies childless and has a sister, for her is half the inheritance; and the man is his sister’s heir if the sister dies childless; and if there are two sisters, for them is two-thirds of the inheritance; so if there are brothers and sisters, both men and women, the male’s share is equal to that of two females; and Allah explains clearly to you, so that you do not go astray; and Allah knows all things."

[Nisa 4:11] Allah commands you concerning your children; the son’s share is equal to that of two daughters; and if there are only daughters, for them is two-thirds of the inheritance, even if they are more than two; and if there is only one daughter, for her is half; and to each of the deceased’s parents a sixth of the inheritance, if he has children; and if the deceased has no children but leaves behind parents, then one third for the mother; and if he has several brothers and sisters, a sixth for the mother, after any will he may have made and payment of debt; your fathers and your sons - you do not know which of them will be more useful to you; this is the share fixed by Allah; indeed Allah is All Knowing, Wise.

[Nisa 4:12] And from what your wives leave, half is for you if they do not have any child; or if they have a child for you is a fourth of what they leave, after any will they may have made or debt to be paid; and to the women is a fourth of what you leave behind, if you do not have any child; or if you have a child then an eighth of what you leave behind, after any will you may have made, or debt to be paid; and if a deceased does not leave behind mother, father or children but has a brother or a sister through a common mother, then to each of them a sixth; and if they (brothers and sisters) are more than two, then they shall all share in a third, after any will that may have been made or debt to be paid, in which the deceased has not caused a loss (to the heirs); this is the decree of Allah; and Allah is All Knowing, Most Forbearing

Praise be to Allah.
To the one above me:
You said :
" Now do the math: 2(for earth) + 4(for nourishment) + 2 (for heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days "
Go read the verses again, the 2 days for EARTH creation are contained in the 4 days of EARTH nourishment, because if you CAN READ what you posted you will notice that verses number 9 & 10 are dealing with the earth.
THE CONTRADICTION IS IN YOUR HEAD.
Yes you CREATED something which is not present in the verses which is that you SEPERATED between the 2 days of CREATION of the earth and the 4 days of ITS nourishment.
So, it's like the following:
1st day: Earth : Creation and Nourishment.
2nd day: Earth : Creation(ended) and Nourishment.
3rd day: Earth : Nourishment.
4th day: Earth : Nourishment(ended).
5th day: Heavens : Creation.
6th day: Heavens : Creation (ended).
Now about law of inheritance, THERE'S NO mistake at all, it just needs someone smart to understand it, try to put it in details and inshallah we will answer it.
NOW I GUESS YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THE TRUE PERFECTION OF QUR'AAN.

I don't know if you mean this as a joke. There's fundamentalism, the theory of evolution, and a mix of both. These are three theories people have before them, in a simplified manner. Fundamentalists believe that the Bible happened as it happened because the Bible is the word of God. Therefore: -The world was created in seven days. -God created man. From man, God created woman. -Out of nothing came something by way of supernatural, not cosmic, force. -Everything was as it is now, meaning a duck has always been a duck, a human has always been a human, a ape has always been an ape. DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH CHANGING ACCORDING TO ENVIRONMENT. To adapt is not to change shape from one to another, like a monkey to human, it is simply to change to accommodate the environment. For example, if the same species of bird live in two different places, and in one area the bird needs to crack open nuts to eat, and in the other the bird just eats the seeds open on the ground, one will have a more defined beak than the other. But I think that accommodation is something that someone who believes in a mix of the Bible and science would believe. Evolutionists believe a variety of different things... there is a theory of evolution that is based on the similarities between certain animals and what not... I don't really know evolution, to be truthful. I learned it a long time ago and I can't really remember.

The Holy Bible is God's Word. That is how I view it. It is also a historical account of the past and a continuing account of the present and future. In other words, it is the rule book of our lives.
I do not see the Bible as a play with a cast of characters. But for those who get bored easily with reading the Bible or feel discouraged and overwhelmed by it, an attitude of reading all the facinating adventures is good which I guiess is why you think of it as a drama with different characters.:) You just have to remember it really DID happen. It's not fiction.

I am reading the Qur'an now and frankly it makes more sense to me then the Bible ever did. It also explains a lot more than the Bible did. Maybe it's because I'm Muslim that the Qur'an makes more sense to me. I read 3 differnet versions of the Bible and only read three books of the Torah and Revelation in the Bible.

For me both Bible and Quraan were written with un remarkable talent in literacy and mathimatics.
Numerical contradictions In Quran.
How many days did it take to create Heavens and Earth ?
Quran 7: 54 Your gurdian-Lord is Allah who created the heavens and earth in Six Days
Quran 10: 3 Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in Six Days
Quran 11:7 He it is Who created the heavens and earth in Six Days
Quran-25:29: He Who created the heavens and earth and all that is between, in Six Days
The above verses clearly state that God created the heaven and Allah created the heaven and the Earth in 6 days. But the verses below stated-
Quran 41: 9 Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in Two Days ?
Quran 41: 10 He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firm high above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR DAYS…
Quran 41: 12 So He completed them (heavens) as seven firmaments in Two days and …
Now do the math: 2(for earth) + 4(for nourishment) + 2 (for heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days
Similar mistakes you can see in the verse: Quran 4: 11 - 12, and Quran 4: 176 in inheritance law. In these verses one can see the total property after adding all distributed parties adds up more than the available property,,, totals become more than 1 which are: 1.125 and 1.25. How come ? A gross mathematical errors, is not it ?

The Holy Bible is considered sacred book and reading it is sacred if you understand it but I think that you only refused to understand or you hate it that is why you are always against it. Clear your mind please to understand it if you haappened to open the said bible and p[lease not on one verse alone. You continue one after the other verses.
You can read also the Kuran and compare them together which is correct or wrong then conclude or say your conclusion but you can not conclude something without knowing the facts of both.

"Self arranged" - that is interesting considering what happend at Virginia Tech is in the Bible as sin. God is truth and love...therefore, He is perfect because He knows what works and what doesn't work within the lives of human beings, within families, within the soul. He knows who is at spiritual War within and who took a life against His plan. The Bible contains sin - yes, read on because it also contains "solution" and "why" living in the truth and loving = life. God knows all...He is Just.

To Mrs. Bin ... :
Please do not be confused, for the word "days" should be understood as "periods of time", ... and by the way, Khalid is right.
Al Qur'an 007.054
YUSUFALI's translation: Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!
PICKTHAL's translation: Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, then mounted He the Throne. He covereth the night with the day, which is in haste to follow it, and hath made the sun and the moon and the stars subservient by His command. His verily is all creation and commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
SHAKIR's translation: Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
The translation using phrase 'days' instead of 'periods of time" is for very simple thinkers, and this kind of 'translation mistakes' are quite common, for those translators usually only know languages, true, but not the 'signs' of many form science inside the words of Al Qur'an. He'd have to be a language translator and also a scientist of MANY branches of science, to really understand the real meaning of God's words in the Noble Al Qur'an.
To all ...:
The present day Bible is NOT free from errors, even major ones, for inside it you'll find human's thoughts, ideas, imaginations, misinterpretations, and so on ... It even has conflicting errors if you compare one verse toward its other verse(s) ... For instance, the family tree of Jesus?
Come on?!
Also just simply remember the conflict of Galileo Galillei vs the Church on the subject of The Earth and The Sun in the Mid-Age.
On the other hand, muslim MUST .... I'll say it again ... MUST obey and belive in all God's Prophets, from the first Prophet Adam to the Last Prophest Muhammad?
Al Qur'an Al Baqarah (002:136)
YUSUFALI: Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)."
PICKTHAL: Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.
SHAKIR: Say: We believe in Allah and (in) that which had been revealed to us, and (in) that which was revealed to Ibrahim and Ismail and Ishaq and Yaqoub and the tribes, and (in) that which was given to Musa and Isa, and (in) that which was given to the prophets from their Lord, we do not make any distinction between any of them, and to Him do we submit.
Abraham = Ibrahim
Ismail = Ishmael
Ishaq = Isaac
Yaqoub = Jacob
Musa = Moses
Isa = Jesus
How can anybody ... :-)
