Salam :) i'm a Muslim teenager residing in Canada. I positioned on hijab alhamdullilah and this is for the main area customary here considering that i stay in a super city with a giant Muslim inhabitants. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots in school nonetheless who ask stuff like "yo have been given a bomb below there hahaha". however the toughest area is being distinctive out of your friends. Being a Muslim, events, alcohol relationship boys wearing revealing clothing and so on is haram, and on the same time as i do no longer choose to try this besides, this is a sprint awkward to could clarify why i do no longer do it to those who evaluate it in simple terms an component of being a teenager and its consumer-friendly to them. Muslims residing in Muslim international locations relatively have it less complicated while it comprises setting up in. And with nutrition this is a sprint difficult yet I constantly attempt to examine the label if i'm uncertain of the aspects. yet i does no longer wanna be the different faith no rely how confusing it gets and how distinctive i've got faith from each physique else, i'm happy to be Muslim :)

as-salaam alaikum brother
Welcome to the family and May Allah bless you always Ameen
1. " I read in a book that a woman slandered Al Hajjaj and his father, so he lashed her 160 lashes after he tied her in the pillar of the mosque in baghdad, she was a crazy woman, So, Insanity is no defence in Islam?"
Hajjaj is not a good example- he did many things against islam such as the thing you mentioned - he was a tyrant and his actions are not treated in islam as some kind of source of law - quite the reverse
Indeed insanity is a defence in islam
"Every human being or jinn who is adult, sane and in receipt of the message of Islam is accountable before Allah for his/her beliefs, words and deeds, and is termed a mukallaf. Adulthood is defined in this context as reaching physical maturity or the age of fifteen lunar years, whichever comes first. The evidence for the first two conditions is the hadeeth, "The [recording] pen is lifted off from three [categories of people] : the child until he reaches maturity, the sleeping one until he awakens, and the insane one until he regains sanity."
http://webpages.marshall.edu/~laher1/Allah.html
"3- What's the best thing you can do to get closer to Allah?"
Do the obligatory actions and refrain from the forbidden ones
Abu Hurairah, radiyallahu 'anhu, reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said:
"Allah the Almighty has said: 'Whosoever acts with enmity towards a closer servant of Mine (wali), I will indeed declare war against him. Nothing endears My servant to Me than doing of what I have made obligatory upon him to do. And My servant continues to draw nearer to Me with supererogatory (nawafil) prayers so that I shall love him. When I love him, I shall be his hearing with which he shall hear, his sight with which he shall see, his hands with which he shall hold, and his feet with which he shall walk. And if he asks (something) of Me, I shall surely give it to him, and if he takes refuge in Me, I shall certainly grant him it.'"

Assalamo aleikum (Peace be upon you)
This is the greeting and salutation that muslims give to each other. It is also the true blessing of Islam. The peace that comes from choosing the right path in life is incomparable! No one can tell you if you have found the right path - you will know it for yourself when you discover the inner calmness of your soul, the joy that even the difficulties cannot extinguish, and the sureness of feeling that you are home.. that you have found a WAY OF LIFE - not just a religion! Al hamdolellah! (thanks to God!)
Islam is not something that you just gulp down in one swallow. It is a lifetime of daily meals to be enjoyed, savoured, tasted, digested. If you eat too fast and try to take it all in in one huge bite, you will get indigestion and probably it will come right back up again and make you sick so you don't want to try another taste. If you eat too slowly and in tiny portions, you will always feel hungry and never be satisfied and if someone comes along offering you sweets and junk food (el shaitan does this) you will perhaps be tempted by that, so you won't feel like eating any more of the good meal. But if you have a well-balanced meal (studying the Holy Writings, association with fellow believers, putting into practice what you learn) you will feel satisfied and healthy and in peak condition of life.
And think about it... if someone who loved you made a meal especially for you, wouldn't that make you feel surrounded by their love? Wouldn't you be anxious to tell everyone you know how well you were treated and how much you enjoyed the food? They would probably envy you and wish that they could also have a meal such as this. Allah loves us and has prepared spiritual food especially for us, his creation, in order for us to be healthy and happy and to know that we are loved. That food of course consists of all the Holy Writings available to us. When the opportunity arises, we can let others know how good our food is and how much our Creator loves us, so that they might see our healthy souls and want what we have. This is human nature... wanting what we don't have.
So take things moderately, one bite at a time. Some foods take getting accustomed to, just like when we were kids and were told to eat our vegetables... as we grew up, we knew they were good for us, so we ate them as part of our meal even if they were not our favourite food. So, when you come across a "vegetable" in Islam that you find hard to swallow, just take a small nibble and leave it at the side of your plate until the next meal, or the one after that. Eventually you will grow up enough to realize that ALL "foods" in the spiritual meal are good for you and need to be partaken of if we want to stay healthy. As an example, imagine hijab as one of these "vegetables" that we might either love from the start or as something that we will only partake of after growing up and realizing that it is good for our spritual health.
It may be better not discuss your reversion to Islam with non muslims friends until a year or two has passed and you feel comfortable in your faith. At that point, it would be obvious to them that Islam has not made you a worse or lesser person, and has in fact (hopefully!) noticeably improved you!
May Allah grant us all the wisdom and good spritual health we need to stay on the straight path. Ameen.

hi,
1.first music , painting , drawing and all of the arts are not forbbiten in Islam ( the proof is ALhamrah palace in ALandaluse in spain where there are many statues one of them is like 4lions , for painting go to a mosque and you will see some paintings of plants and about music in Alandaluse they created a kind of music called Almaqamat like nahawand and so on....you can download some from any arabic music web site ) and the prophet Mohammed encouraged poemers and artists also science and learning . Then Alhajaj is not a really good module to take (as I think) . Then the best way to get closer from God (Allah)is to be a scientist or to keep learning your entire life as prophet said :
(who walks in a way to learn and ask for knowledge god (allah) leads him to the heaven's way ) and said ( a scientist is better than 77 prayers {who keeps praying most of their time } )
P.S harm hitting is forbbiten in Islam and no body has the right to punish any body (no matter who he is ) except by the laws of quraan .

1. Killing in Islam is probidden and it is consider as Major sin! There are different between killing for pleasure and unintended killing. In your case, the woman is crazy and she dont really realize her action because part of her brain is damage. In islam this is consider as unintended killing. The guy who kill the woman for the sake of taking revange over his son death on the other hand committing an intended killing and he just commiting a major sin.In islam it is all about forgetting not taking revenge. He shouldnt' play God by killing others! The sentence is stoning to death. For the unintended killing, the killer can sake forgiveness by giving food to the poor in the name of Allah s.w.t and promising not to ever repeating the crime.
2. Music and singing is not illegal as long as the singing and the music doesnt not contain any words that worship other entity or have the tendency of condeming and insulting islam in partticular and muslims in general.
3. pray a lot and read the holy book, Quran

The root to understanding Islam is Holy Quran and those sayings and actions of the Holy Prophet which are in absolute consonance with It. Various historical stories mostly fabricated, altered etc. to distort the real message and teachings of Quran and Islam ( both are synonymous ). I recommend you to read " The Message of Quran ( translation and commentary )" by Muhammad Assad and " the Holy Quran text, translation and commentary " by A. Yusuf Ali. These should be available on any good bookshop. The questions you have asked are of seconary importance. The main thing is to first grasp the essence of the message of Islam/ Quran. However you will get answers to all of your questions during the the course of study of the the above recommended books. Please email me any question or querry , I shall be too pleased to help.

I am not a muslim but i know few answers.
1. Dunno
2. I don't think so
3. Follow law of the old testament.
4. Yes forbidden .
i don't like when people condemning muslims. They are brothers and sisters of christianity and catholic. Maybe they a bit agressive. Do you know Allah is the same God which Christians and Catholics worship. Somehow only difference is that Muslims follow rules and law strictly but Christians show love towards a sin. That is the difference. There are many things, muslims are not bad. Don't you see many bad people who are calling them selves christians?
