Jesus tells us that the spirit is called the soul while it is still housed in our body, but after the body dies, and the soul is released it is called the spirit. The spirit enter the body at the body's first breath and leaves upon it;s last breath. Some spirits have seen their body lying below them, they are not leaving the body they are returning. A new spirit entering a body can only do so after the body (house) has been emptied ( all trash removed) swept (loss of past life and heaven knowledge) and garnished (given a sex) this is why some are born homosexuals (I don't belong in this body)

" And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7.

A soul is a living being. A soul is always a combination of two things: body plus breath. A soul cannot exist unless body and breath are combined. God's Word teaches that we are souls.

Body (dust)

Breath (spirit)

= Death ( no soul)

That's quite a mouthful. If Jesus tells us these things, he would be contradicting his heavenly father. God inspired the account at Genesis wherein we read that Adam came to be a soul. Adam did not come to have a soul. Adam BECAME a soul. Man himself is the soul.

God inspired the Bible writer at Ezekiel 18:4, 20 to teach that the soul is able to sin and die.

So if Jesus said otherwise, he would be contradicting his heavenly father. Do you think he would do that? Not according to John 17:17 where he plainly states that God's word is truth.

As for his illustration at Matthew 12:43-45, this unoccupied house of which Jesus speaks does not mean the person is devoid of 'past life and heaven knowledge', as you mentioned. Jesus is using the very real event of a demon possessing a person to teach an important lesson: when we clean up our lives, removing everything that is harmful and sweeping ourselves clean, we must replace those bad things with good things. If we do not, we have left ourselves open and vulnerable to being overcome again by bad things.

That is why Jesus could say in his famous sermon on the mount that a good man brings forth good things out of the goodness of his heart. Good things fill his heart and overflow. Perhaps at one time he had been a bad person, practicing sin. He made changes and removed the badness. And he replaced it with good things. Thus, there is no room for the bad to return and take up lodging.

So what do you think?

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7.

A soul is a living being. A soul is always a combination of two things: body plus breath. A soul cannot exist unless body and breath are combined. God's Word teaches that we are souls.

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:20. "Every living soul died in the sea." Revelation 16:3.

According to God's Word, souls do die! We are souls, and souls die. Man is mortal (Job 4:17). Only God is immortal (1 Timothy 6:15, 16). The concept of an undying, immortal soul goes against the Bible, which teaches that souls are subject to death.

Do good people go to heaven when they die?

"All that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth." John 5:28, 29. "David ... is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." "For David is not ascended into the heavens." Acts 2:29, 34. "If I wait, the grave is mine house." Job 17:13.

No, people do not go either to heaven or hell at death. They go to their graves to await the resurrection day.

King David will be saved in God's kingdom. However, he is in his grave now, where he awaits the resurrection.

Man consist of 3 entities - spirit, soul and body.

In other words, man is tripartite.

He is a spirit that lives in a body. His soul is his will, mind and emotion.

In other words, the spirit is the real you. The body is like a shell or casing of the spirit. The soul is the "living out" or experiential aspect of this tripartite man.

where do you see that in the Bible? the soul and spirit are never the same thing.

the soul is you: a collection of your mind, will and emotions housed in an amaterial, ethereal body. sceince calls it your consciousness, though it's more than just your mind.

your spirit is your means of communication with other spiritual beings (God, angels, devil, demons). it is not independant, as it needs to be controlled by a mind.

your spirit and soul aren't one, but intertwined. they don't separate until you die. when you die, they separate and your spirit goes back to God, who gave it to you, while your soul goes to Heaven or Hell.

you aren't alive without both, as a being needs a spirit.

I don't believe in past lives or reincarnation. people are "born" homosexuals if they have a hormonal disorder, though you don't see any doctor records of it. people are homosexual by choice anyway, as giving into lust is a choice.

You are a soul so you can't have a soul inside you.
The Bible says that God created the man from the dust, he blew into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit) and he became a living soul.

The soul is our intellect and will!
Our spirit is our innermost being.

God made man in His own image. He did not create homosexuals.

Your "soul" is your subconscious. It's your guardian angel also. It takes care of your vessel whether you are paying attention to it or not. Your mind can override what is best for your body, which is truly what is meant by free will.

There is no soul, so it doesn't effect our life at all.
