My faith has been tested in the past as simple as a loved one telling me that my faith is stupid, and mocks Jesus, etc... What I had to learn is that it isn't sooo much important what others think. What is important is what God thinks and what His Word reveals to me.

YOU don't test your faith. Actions and events throughout your life test it. You never know it's a test until you come out on the other side. Either you have stronger or weaker faith because of it. I've noticed this in more than just christianity.

Almost everything is a test of faith. Doubt is essential to faith. You must doubt, and overcome that doubt with reason, logic, and faith in order to reach a stronger and more final version of truth and ultimately faith.

Sometimes you know when your being tested, Sometimes you don't........my faith has been tested these last few months and its really hard to stay on the right path.
