Johnny, it was told to be this way. Don't let it bother you so much. They will see before too long that they are wrong. Let them scoff, it's said they would, why try to denounce what God has said would happen? If you see it happening, surely it MUST happen for He has said so. Trust in what you see and hear from Him, that you might see what is really happening in front of your very eyes.

I'm against the fact that some Christians can't take no for an answers when they try to force their beliefs on me. No matter how nice I am they continue. I don't hate "God" at all. I have no reason to. I will say though I call the one I pray to Spirit.

Oh and another thing that bothers me about some Christians. I have learned in my life that if you have business dealings with anyone who's first statement is I'm a good Christian. Every dealing I've had with one of those has been very negative and have gotten screwed over. As my brother (who is Christian) told me, if they have to tell you they are a good Christian then they aren't. Also how some Christian charities will reject anything offered by Pagans. I don't get it. If we as Pagans collect to give to charities and they are denied simply because a Pagan group offered it, well it's wrong. It shows they are bigoted and really aren't there to collect for the charity.

It isn't the Christianity, it's SOME of the practitioners!

The answer is simple. It's all about their:

ATTITUDE!

Many don't know the difference between: belief, dogma, truth and faith.

1. It's a matter of "This is the one and only way!"
2. How do I know? -- That's what they told me!
3. How do "they" know? -- Somebody told them!
4. What is the ultimate source? -- The Bible.
5. All other scriptures are a LIE!
6. How do I know that all other scriptures are a lie?
7. Go to 2.

Has God, in his infinite wisdom, NEVER seen fit to communicated with anybody else on the face of the planet except for the Jews and the Christians?

Christianity will not even allow people to answer this question by saying: "I DON'T KNOW!"
.

I don't hate God. I don't care for the Abrahamic anthropomorphization of God. And - I'm against Christianity because I was a Christian at one point. When I asked legitimate questions about literal bible interpretation and biblical inconsistencies I was told to not rock the boat, be a good little girl, shut my mouth, and believe what I was told to believe. My questions, to this day, have not been answered satisfactorily. That's basically the long story short version. Not only that, but the Christians I grew up around were very fake, backstabbing, condemning, and basically not very nice people.

I am a Christian but since joining this site, I have to confess that I'm not so much shocked at the reaction of the non-believer. I was one myself and would have walked a mile to avoid a Christian. What does shock me is some of the so called Christian witness I have read here. It makes me wonder if they know the same God as I do. One thing I am certain of is that I am a sinner and in no position to judge anyone. I can tell you what I believe in a general sense but I would not target the individual as some seem to do. Jesus tells us not to judge lest we are judged the same. You may not like my beliefs but I respect others and love everyone just the same.

Just because you're not for Christianity doesn't mean that you hate G-d. It just simply doesn't mean that you believe in their interpretation of things. Last time I checked Christianity has more factions that any other religion simply because they can't agree on what they believe. So instead on just agreeing to disagree they split off into other groups and condem eachother. (For those who disagree, it is true that Catholics, Jw's, and Mormons are critisized a lot because they're supposedly "not Christian", but they follow Jesus therefore they are. Just because theirs is a bit different doesn't mean they should be outcasts.) I would think they would more concered with coming to a common ground with eachother rather than caring about what other people believe so much.

I am agnostic so I don't hate anyone.

It is really difficult for me to understand organised religion. It's as if everything is answered for you and you can sit back and stop thinking as "god" has provided all the answers in a bible.

It is all the work of man. People who are truly "spiritual" don't try and convert people all the time and just get on with their lives, being nice or indifferent to everyone and don't have to pay money to a church

One thing in your paragraph already signals to me that you talk nonsense. We don't hate god! It's Christianity being divided into like 10 sections. How inaccurate IS the Bible? It's been tampered with and changed over and over again throughout the decades and centuries. A holy book revealed by God and his prophets are supposed to be perpetual and perfect.

LOL. John, I dont hate God. He doesnt exist - how can I harbor hate in my heart for something non-existent??

Its not the idea of God that I dislike either. It is the followers of this allegedly omniscient, omnipotent and omnibenevolent creature that I despise. Why? Well, they preach love and tolerance for all, but then spread hate, homophobia and intolerance of all religions buit their own. Sure - you might not be like that - but you need to know that the gross majority of your breatheren ARE like that. Thats the part I dont like... And, for the record, its not just Christians - I feel the same about fanatical Islamics and most others as well. Its just that the others dont knock on my door early Sat morning to try to sell me their gloom and doom...

I don't hate Christianity and I am totally fine with its existance. I only hate Christians who hate Islam and start to mock it and insult it without any justification. I also hate it when they try to convert the Muslims on here against their will by saying that Jesus is the only path to God when that is what they believe, not Muslims, and we can't be sure if that is true.

Your question belies your arrogance. Hating christianity is hating the results of a particular religion NOT hating god. I do not believe in Zeus either, but his followers never accuse me of hating him. As for the religion of christianity, I am not bothered by people who wish to believe in that horrible fiction, I am bothered by their stubborness, their ignorance not only of other faiths but their own as well, their arrogance (such as believing they are the only one's who have the inside track to god) their condescension, their superiority and conversely their persecution complexes, but most importantly their seeming agenda to take away any and all rights of others that do not mesh with their own. God has nothing to do with it.
