Let me get this right......We have a universe that contains many things that are obviously bad and "apparently" meaningless, but containing creatures like ourselves who KNOW that it is bad and meaningless........and this came to be from "NOTHING?...I don't know.......

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God from the beginning.Through Him all things were made, without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the "darkness" has not understood it."

Be careful with that Sword (the Word) of God! Your going to cut somebody!

You can't pull ou the Truth like that!

everything in life has meaning, regardless of ones religious beliefs. Maybe not to me, or you but to somebody or something. The world is much bigger than you and I.
Sure Evolution is everywhere. The "original" theory of evolution. God is a prime example of evolution actually.

When we are brought in to this world, we are "everything", but it is up to us if we remaing everything or turn to nothing. But as far as our loved ones are concerned we will always be everything. God is our Father, I am his everything, so is the rest of the world. So if people want to say we came from nothing, thats fine. But I came from Everything. My children came from everything, as will their children and childrens children.

I sure don't believe we came form the "nothing"
Someone created and that someone was GOD

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God from the beginning.Through Him all things were made, without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the "darkness" has not understood it.

That darkness is the majority of people on this earth. The darkness hates the light because it exposes us for who we are apart from GOD and that scares us and threatens us so we come up with other explainations about these kinds of questions because we don't want to be held accountable for our actions.
but eventually----every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord
some will do it willingly---but most will not

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

So what it is you consider "meaningless"? I always figured ticks, mosquitoes and fleas were pretty meaningless, but apparently bats and birds eat them, so they do indeed have a purpose. I would rather they not exist on a personal level, as they are annoying, and I have to put poison on my dogs and cats to protect them from these nasties, but just because I don't like something doesn't necessarily make it meaningless. I don't like sharks, but without them the seas don't do so well. So basically, I can't think of anything without some type of purpose, God knew exactly what He was doing, so besides the ticks, mosquitoes, fleas, sharks and of course snakes, I'm pretty happy with the world He gave us. The people are what mess it all up.

You came with your willing which might not remember. Once you hit into the situation which is lifting up your mind, you will understand why you are here. You think you are conciously to life, actually you are unconciously. If one said came from nothing, will be from visual to sense. The senses are not visual. The memories are not visual. Someone cut the memories from the brain but remember more things which he never see in this life. Can someone cut the memories from brain and which will never remember again?

God created everything and it was good .. and then he created humans and it was very good in his eyes.. any evil that befell on the creation was due to its disobedience to God's commandments .. of course all these meaningless it came from evil that entered into the world ... but sometimes it is meaningless but has a purpose .. that will take a long time to explain I guess...

You have to see things differently. Everything created by God has a purpose. In some cases we are still looking for what that purpose is.

Look for purpose and not meaninglessness, and you will evenually find it or someone will after you die. That is why we call them discoveries.

Bad and meaningless are judgment laden terms, I'm not sure anything is inherently bad. "All things are neither good nor bad but that thought makes them so".

Secondly, I wasn't "there" at the beginning so I don't really know what was there and I rather suspect that "nothing" is the closest concept we have to what was there. In point of fact, all we have to go on regarding that state you so glibly call 'nothing' is imagination.

Nothing became Something
Something became the World
the World became the Earth
And Something made this Earth
And this Earth became life
And Life became All the living thing around us
