Hi, I'm a former muslim and I have converted to christianity. My muslim friends have all said they do not like me anymore and they say i will go to hell for leaving the religion of Islam. They say christianity only works for white people and i'm black and will therefore never be accepted in heaven.

I don't really care where i end up, but i like my children to go to heaven. Is it really true that black men never can go to heaven?

hey, say, for the sake of argument, Jesus, wasnt the messaih (Gasp). lets say the messiah is alive today and doing his thing, or will be soon. of course, he would have to die....the real question is, would people wear little gas chambers or electric chairs around their necks, and huge ones in churches?

I go to work and deal with people who profess to be christians and commit adultrey and fornication saying that its okay because of this teaching. A man and woman dress with hats and shirts saying blood donar saved my life. And he puts his arms around her accationally. She says she has been in church all her life ,because her mom raised her in church. They have been reported to the supervisor because of action they have been doing and its sad that they pervert the gospel of Jesus by thier actions. We must pray for them

I'm not gonna say ALL athiests think christians are idiots, but the ones I have spoken to think christians are mindless drones who believe in a "made up entitiy" to feel better about themselves. Why? I know some christians act like idiots because of how judgmental they can be but we're not all like that, and we're not just a bunch of crazies with the same imaginary friend. I'm not gonna preach, so don't worry. I just wanna know why some athiests look so far down on people who believe in God. I'm not saying you have to believe in him, you do what you want, but why do they think those who do believe are dummies?

35 This is what the LORD says,
he who appoints the sun
to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
to shine by night,
who stirs up the sea
so that its waves roar—
the LORD Almighty is his name:

36 "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,"
declares the LORD,
"will the descendants of Israel ever cease
to be a nation before me."

37 This is what the LORD says:
"Only if the heavens above can be measured
and the foundations of the earth below be searched out
will I reject all the descendants of Israel
because of all they have done,"
declares the LORD.

If Satan can destroy Israel, God will stop being God. There is a spiritual war underneath the visible world, driving nations to hate Israel.

"Jesus taught hatred by saying that a Christian should ‘hate’ his father and mother."

This is called "hyperbole"—a statement of extremes, contrasting love with hate for emphasis’ sake. The Bible often does this (Proverbs 13:24; 29:24). Jesus tells us that the first and greatest Commandment is to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37,38). As much as we treasure our spouse and family, and even our own life, there should be no one whom we love and value more than God, no one who takes precedence in our life. To place love for another (including ourselves) above God is idolatry.

did all the flooded folks go to Hell, or were there any keepers that went to Heaven? Honest curiosity, no evil intended at all. If the Bible is silent on their ultimate disposition, that's cool too. Thank you.

John Paul II said himself that one of the popes will eother aid or bbe the Antichrist, and many Biblical findings say that John Paul II was one of the last human popes before the Antichrist comes, but not necessarily the last.

(Note the SOME, I did not generalize so do not sue me, damnit.)

Okay so in the Bible, verses here and there they take it literally, as in really, really literally.

And yet some verses here and there they say "oh you intrepreted this wrongly, actually it's like this like that blah blah blah"

So, why is it that some verses they take it really really really really literally, but other verses they say there must be a certain way to intrepret it?

From John 1:18 from any Bible translation it's clear to see that John did not believe that Jesus was God. Peter even said Jesus was God's Son and Jesus said you are correct.

The Bible seems quite clear on the fact that torture, and eternal torture at that, is entirely justified (fires of hell, wailing and gnashing of teeth, all that jazz).

What happens if we decide that torture is morally unacceptable? Are we wrong for condemning it or is the Christian god wrong for carrying it out?

I did with a pagan, a christian, and an atheist.

Somehow, it ended with the messege "If monkeys exist, then why do we still have pascal's wager?"

We still get together and talk about bananas in pajamas every now and then.

So, anyone ever had this sort of confy?

I'm just wondering what is the real Mormon's pov of marriage and what's it about. Do Mormon men have more than one wife or is that a horrible misconception media places on Mormons? I'm not a Mormon myself but I'm sorta of curious about this stereotyping the media does and what they actually think.

"God sent children for another purpose than
merely to keep up the race - to enlarge our
hearts; and to make us unselfish and full of
kindly sympathies and affections; to give our
souls higher aims; to call out all our faculties to
extended enterprise and exertion; and to bring
around our firesides bright faces, happy smiles
and loving, tender hearts."
