Black and some have Red as well

Black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown (black holes). It usually has a negative connotation (blacklist, black humor, 'black death'). Black denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious color (black tie, black Mercedes). In heraldry, black is the symbol of grief.

Red is associated with vigor, willpower, rage, anger, leadership, courage, longing, malice, and wrath.

You will never see a Bible in the colours of the rainbow : )

They are not. I have probably 6 or eight of them in this house and one is black.

If you go to a Bible bookstore I bet you will find every color of the rainbow. Blue being probably the most common followed closely by a nice burgundy.

Not all bibles are black. But they first started making them in that color because the leather bound looks good that way. I've seen all sorts of bibles in all sorts of colors. Besides the color of the book doesn't change the impact of its content.

It isn't the cover that is important only the words inside. It is Gods words to us. He lovingly provides a guide through this life of ours and puts every scenario and trouble so that we can learn how to cope and what to do in certain situations.

Personally I think black is good to hide dirt.

Yeah, they are easier to keep clean. A Bible is supposed to last you a lifetime and be carried around a lot so it gets dirty.
