Because faith comes from knowing the truth. The outward appearence of a person very rarely shows the inward condition of the heart. Those who appear to have everything often are empty while those with little have treasures beyond counting.

all people agitate the dots. Christians are still people too and have buttons that are pushed and bad days where they want to give a sarcastic response to questions. In Christianity there are many who do not see the bigger picture that Jesus had intended. They are and we all are still works in progress. The level of perfection in the mind of people of what a believer is supposed to be, do and say and their ability to carry it out is cause for the word hypocrisy to be used as much as it is. I try and I'm sure I fail to people's idealism.

Here is a statement that will always be with me; I attended my brother-in-law's funeral this February of 2007 and the minister at the service said " Religious people scare me"! I think that is very appropriate because in general they scare me too. The minister spoke about my brother-in-law relating to him that he was not a religious man but believed in God and that was shown in the way he lived his earthly life. Our family and friends will never again meet anyone with the giving heart that once beat within this man!

You are either very wise or very foolish. If you see past those who profess but do not believe, and see the awe for the universe and pure curiosity in the that do not claim to have the answer, than you are showing wisdom. If you are projecting your opinion onto others, then you are foolish.

Because it is a way of life.
It involves more than just head knowledge, it involves the heart.
The heart is the seat of motivation.
The heart and mind working together in harmony, springs forth the desire to server Jehovah whole souled.

Because the truth is in the paradox.
The path into the light seems dark,
the path forward seems to go back,
the direct path seems long,
true power seems weak,
true purity seems tarnished,
true steadfastness seems changeable,
true clarity seems obscure,
the greatest art seems unsophisticated,
the greatest love seems indifferent,
the greatest wisdom seems childish.

those with faith know it in their heart. those with doubt have to wear it on their sleeve because they are trying to convince themselves and everyone else that they have faith.
i find people who are preachy to be hypocritical, sometimes, not all of them.
