That people actually think evolution is science? How about that? Can you believe some people because I sure can't...

What had youu been going thru before you met him, leading up to the meeting, and who in your life planted the seeds, laid the groundwork...who do you give the most credit to, for helping you find the Lord?
Have you ever thanked them? Officially, with a card , or letter,or even just a phonecall, telling them your grateful they took the time?

I have been suspecting this for a while. All these evangelicals are running around with the notion in their mind that if they mess up, their going to burn forever and ever. Its just stupid! Why would a perfect God allow Hell to exist? Why not just make the sinners live in the Ghetto part of Heaven? (joking)
When you think about it, it is a pretty smart scheme that was set up, I'm sure, hundreds of years ago, when pastors started realizing they could hook more people into coming to their church, (AND TITHING), if they had something to scare them with. Something to say, if you don't come and give us your money your going to Hell.
I think its bull, anyone else? Your opinion?

-I believe that science is the cause of most miracles.
-I believe that natural occurences caused the universe to start.
-I believe Jesus's supposed supernatural power was exagerrated.
-I don't believe in an afterlife.
-I believe all Christians are evil, and I distrust them and dislike them.
-I do, however, believe there is some sort of god.

A Myth?

For those of you who don't believe in the Bible (I'm pretty sure I don't believe it, but still investigating), do you believe ANY of it is true? Because some of the people in it WERE actual people in real life.....Stuff like Noah's ark is easily discredited, but what about the rest? What about the 10 plagues and such? Is it possible some of it happened and some didn't?

In reading "The Secret" I understand it as this. The person who visualizes and concentrates on the thing, ie: the end result of their efforts, they will get there. Example: the child who wants to be a major league ball player. Plays for years and sees himself there, will get as far as he allows his efforts and attempts to go, barring any interferance or injury. By the same "law of attraction", the evil doer has seen in his mind over and over again the thing that they want and if it's a set of wheels (even if its on a car that might have to be stolen 1st) he might get it, if he's willing to let his vision turn into need and then greed etc. So good (positive) thinking can lead to effort to get into a job by way of education such as a Nurse, or Chiropactor, or a Golf Champion (Tiger always new what he wanted to be). Consuming yourself with whatever thought finds a way out into the physical. And if you think that bad things just happen, you're wrong. They were conceived first.

My older sister belongs to this ashram called Siddha Yoga. I went to visit her and she has about 50 photos all over her house hanging up of this Inidan Woman all over her house. I went to the bathroom, sitting on the toilet seat i look up and see a photo of the guru starring at me.. I'm a bit freaked by it. She lacks alot of social skills my older sister and seems to be out of touch with reality..possibly brainwashed.
