I was reading a couple of books on "Creation" and there was no explaination as to why we have toes. Neither was there a truly practical use for them. Unless, at one time we climbed trees, but that isn't mentioned in any creation book except negatively. I know all the primates have toes and not hoofs, but why would the Christian God burden us with an attribute of primates that have no practical use--well, wearing flip-flops maybe. Toes get stuck in odd places and freeze off, and get stubbed. Is it a faith thing....that we have toes to test our faith or something like that? I mean even the giants had toes in the old testament--6 of them on each foot. Help me out....this is a real mystery, because the Christians say God created us whole, so we've always had toes, but we aren't evolved from primates, and "Why do we have toes?"

An aside.....toe nails....I mean really. That could be a whole thesis.

I want to be an honest Muslim. I will make this short. I am alright at home but when it comes to gatherings I start to behave like a robot. A person controlled by others. I am so sick of this. I dont even need to make myself do anything to go in Robot mode.I just cant stop myself. Now I think since Im in the age to get married. I think I might not be a successful person and since they (he and his family) will be some one else. I am affaid I might become fake just near them. I dont want to be like that honest! but I cant help it. I therefor cant follow what God says even most of the times infront of ppl coz I just become a puppet. It sounds sad just to say all this.
I am a freak. Plz Muslims help me.

Im 23 and a girl.

Why, upon Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem (on Palm Sunday) the citizens "praised" him? But the exact same people "betrays" him when Jesus gets arrested after?

Why did the people betray Jesus? How could they betray Jesus just like that? =(

Paul prayed for God curse everyone that didn't believe in the Lord as he did, does this make Paul a hypocrite?

1 Corinthians 16:22 I pray that God will put a curse on everyone who doesn't love the Lord. And may the Lord come soon.

According to http://www.dictionary.com, one of the many definitions for religion is "something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience:"

For an example of this definition, it uses "to make a religion of fighting prejudice."

By this definition, isn't Atheistism a particular religion of those that do not believe in a god and base many decisions in their life and reactions to others on this belief?

Respectful answers only, please. I am not looking for hateful responses, simply the definition of a particular term in different people's eyes.

To begin I would like to say I am not prejudicce against anyone's race or nationality but I have a hard time accepting certain religions for their beliefs. My feelings have been based upon personal expeirences with each of these religious groups.

First I have a hard time accepting born again christians for their extreme beliefs and their scare tactics which is also the same for the mormans. The thing with the mormans is that they have been known for the polygamist ways and their intense beliefs of how the world should be.

Lastly the scientologist have upset me with all the illegal activites they have participated in and discouraging medications.

Please help me to get a better acceptance of these faiths.

Seems so far everyone's answering my question about evolution by saying they don't understand how dating works. Here's a link http://www.actionbioscience.org/evolution/benton.html.

You can read and learn, or continue being ignorant. But if you don't understand then why do you argue?

I am lost with this.

I know a person that is part of the "Church of God", he believes he is a chosen one and that most Christians are wrong because they don't follow the Sabbath and they believe in pagan days like Birthdays and Christmas. He also has had problems with his family because he has offended them, although they are Christians, he is judgemental of them because according to him they don't follow the same God???

Can someone explain this to me? I asked him to explain, but he told me this would take years.

Why do christians vilify Judas?? If it weren't for him they wouldn't even have a religion. If Judas hadn't sold Jesus out to the Romans then he would not have been hung on the cross and could not have supposedly..."come back to life".

I have noticed everyone today, from this message board, to CBS Sunday Morning attacking "The Secret". My question, is what is it in the human psychy that makes them dowgrade something so positive? Instead of allowing others to make their own judgements and, in turn, use the Law of Attraction for their own good, instead these negative thinkers rip it apart without really understanding it.

Why can't they let others believe without trying to tear it apart? Same thing applies for religion or any kind of belief system. I know why I think this is so, but I would like to know what others think.
