Cain was punished. I believe Moses was punished by his 40 years in the desert. King David repented.

In Moses' day the law of the land and the law of GOD were the same. It was a theocracy. The US in the 21st century is not a theocracy. The Law of Moses does not advocate vigilante violence. Stoning adulterers would be murder. Plus Jesus showed mercy to the woman caught in adultery.

Believe it or not, Moses' Law was merciful for the Bronze Age! Go back and look at history! Moses said an eye for an eye. It had been "take out my eye and I wipe out your whole family!"

But then Jesus brought in even more mercy for our moder age.

Ask Moses. What did he say?

Cain I'd drop. Moses killed aman to defend the life of an innocent. And David was a military leadr who made a military choice that also had the consequence of leading to a convenient death. That's perhaps a bad comander, but not murder.

does it make you feel righteous to slander prophets.

I'd slay the lot of them.
Our society has tried the 'correctional' path to dealing with crime. It's not working. More people are incarcerated than we can deal with. An industry is growing up to handle the daily security, feeding, and cae of inmates. That industry is not interested in reforming criminals, they make their money by having released criminals return. Before the modern American system, other nations used to just execute their criminals. We spend way too much money on a system that is ineffectual and now has a revolving door. It's wasteful. Kill the criminals and do it now!

OH no, you cant do that. Certian parts of the Old Testament dont count any more. They changed because the New Testament came out. But it seems that the Christian can pick and choose which rules for the OT they wish to follow and which they choose to ignore.

All things that have happened, happened for a reason. If you don't get the lesson in it, then don't ponder over what it was you would have done.

In all things in life there is a lesson to be taken from it so that we do not repeat it, but as they say we are all human and history definitely repeats itself doesn't it.

All the more reason to thank God for his saving Grace.
Sometimes we are just helpless without it.
