No. Jesus says that revenge is wrong. The death penalty is only Revenge. He once saved a women from being stoned.

Capital punishment is not okay. It's also not the job of humans to judge and punish one another; that is to be left to God.

Yes, Jesus said you could stone your family if you catch them worshipping a false god. Or was that the Bible god who said that? Maybe both of them I forget. Better ask the church people.
