It is the terrority. There is spiritual warfare going on also.
I would rather we be there & help Iraqis have freedom, especially religious freedom, so they don't get the death penalty for leaving Islam.
That is my prayer yesterday & today & tomorrow. If we leave the troubled territory over there. Then Islamic Terrorists will take over. Then they would terrorize Iraqi community to conform to their evil demands.
Less innocent Iraqis are dieing because we are there. We have made mistakes, but right now, things are getting better, because we put more troops in there to help the Iraqis police the areas so there are less casualties. But we need to back up protection over Iraqis whose lives are threatened because they were helpful informants, or Christians, etc... They get their lives threatened then they get murdered.
I believe the WMD went to syria. Sadly, I don't trust Syria either. Saddam Husain snuck them there about the time we invaded Iraq in the first place.

If I were to answer your question strictly based upon the first sentence, then I would say that being a Christian does not mean we have to be a doormat and allow others to harm us. We can take an offensive stand before we have to take a defensive one if we perceive that to do otherwise would be to put ourselves in danger. That said, many of us Christians do not support the war in Iraq. At first, I supported it because I believed what we were told about why we were there. I believed we had to remove Saddam from power and free the Iraqi people from a brutal dictator whose actions had the potential to harm us and other nations. Now, I see things differently and I believe we have been there far too long and far too many people have died - Americans and Iraqis both. Still, because I am also a patriotic American, I support our troops and the sacrifices they are making in order to obey the orders of their nation. I might not agree with the stance our country is taking, but it is still my country and I will support it despite my disagreement. The Bible, by which I strive to adhere to, tells us to obey the laws of the land and to respect our leaders (this includes when we disagree with them).

True atheists say the same thing!! You say there are innocent Iraqi's? Where are all the terrorists spawning from? Did you ever notice how mothers of cold-blooded killers always seem to say 'he was such a good boy'? How can we lock up all the box knives? The line was drawn when the Muslims all laughed at 9-11. Much like the Japanese laughed at Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Our troops don't attack "innocent" Iraqis. They attack those who first attack them.
It is the terrorists who attack "innocent" Iraqis. They do this to weaken the will of both the Iraqis and the Americans. It seems to be working, too.
When Jesus (and his predecessor John the Baptist) spoke with soldiers, neither of them told them to leave military service. In fact, Jesus went as far as to commend the Roman Centurion for his faith.

Absolutely not. But our lives aren't less valuable than there's either, so if we're the ones making the choice, guess who gets the axe.

They are lying their lives down for the sake of their friends and their beliefs. This is not to be mistaken for those who take their own life by their own hand (so it's not suicide) and this is as Jesus said it was, there is no greater thing than to lie down your life for the sake of your friends. This in fact what he was refering to. Although Jesus died as a sacrifice to us for our freedom in the afterlife, so are our soldiers doing so for our American freedoms on our given land.
It's to be rewarded. It's to be acknowledged and it is to be considered a great and Heroic thing. It is not to be run through the mud by Media and others who soil the very name of "American Soldier" It is living Christ-like to take on such a duty in life and it is to be honored as the highest honor that man can ever have in this life.

If you are a true Christian, you MUST support that bloody war.
A. You're killing Muslim infidels.
B. You're spreading Jesus' message by killing them, decreasing the number of infidels in this world, and increasing the number of Christians in this world.
WOW, THAT IS WHAT JESUS WANTED, HUH?
