Tell them what you want, and it's up to them to decide to believe it or not.

Important to who? Does your belief that it is the most important thing in the world mean that it in fact is? I think if I was certain I would never believed I would have to re-examine my belief, because I think I can be fairly persuasive when I have a solid case. For me to assume I would never be believed would mean I know what I'm going to say is utterly ridiculous and I can't prove a word of it, or my listener is a moron. If either were true, I may as well keep my mouth shut. Something you can't prove can't be all that important and probably indicates you aren't being rational in your assessment.

Dear Medmess,
The constraints you put on your question is that I had to tell someone the most important thing in the world, yet they would not believe. I would tell them of course.
However, you did not state in your question that others would not believe. Therefore, I would tell others of the most important thing in the world. I might add that it sounds to me like this "most important thing in the world" is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible states, "For many are called, but few are chosen."

The most important thing in the world would have to be something believable, if not, then it would only be meant for some ears. I suppose that is why some people reject logical thought and instead turn to mythology and quackery.

Maybe find others who believe what you are saying so they may help you tell the person you have to tell? Some people aren't as skeptical as others. I will never doubt anything or anyone again. I know that there are impossible things happening, yet they are really happening.

Gee why don't you tell us? I'm sure there are lots of people here that would like to know what "the most important thing in the world" is.

The only thing I could do is tell that person the truth as I know it...the rest would be up to him or her to decide for themselves.

I'd probably find someone else to tell who would believe me. And if I couldn't, I'd tell the person and when they found out it was true, I'd be satisfied.

Since the question comes from reli..& spr... I guess we are talking about telling them about God and his wonders. As a believer it is not your place to demand they believe you but to tell them.

Tell them anyway.
Nothing great will ever be acheived if we all remain silent to the truth.
