Itmeans let go all the bad things that have happened in your life and let God renew your strength.

I don't think it has anything to do with being bibically correct. In my eyes it means to let go of a situation that is out of your hands and let God take over because as a human being you have done everything within your power.

Does that make sense??

I think most people just replicate what others say. In addition some just think god deals with things through grace and no works.

The only way that you should let go and let God deal with things is if for 1 you are:

living the commandments
done all you can do from a christlike standpoint
know of god and have a witness through the holy ghost

In addition how can you let God do anything if you do not have a testimony of him and do not really believe.

To gain a testimony of faith and God and know the blessings of him.

There is a promise in the book of Mormon that says he who asks if these things are true after reading it in the name of Christ will recieve there manifestation of the spirit.
If you follow the steps God will maifest the truth to you. I know this and testify on my familys life that this church and its doctrines are true and led by God.

I wonder what a "chirstian" is.

The phrase "let go and let God" is one that is popular in Alcoholics Anonymous. It suggests that we humans are not in charge of the world, and should try to avoid running it.

It is not a direct quote from the bible, some christains are sticklers about the scripture. Let the hate go and let god in.
Whatever is going wrong in your life, let it go, and fill that space with the love of God. A real rough interpertation of what your lloking for. Hope it helped.

It can be rightly and wrongly used. It is correct in the things of the Spirit. We can present the Gospel but we can not change hearts only God can. As far as our duties though we are required to give all diligence so to "let go and let God" in areas we are commanded to do would be wrong on our part.

See how Paul and Apollos did their part and Christ did His
1 Corinthians 3:5-6

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

"Let go and let God" originally meant to turn one's cares and worries over to Him and let Him handle them. I Peter says to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us. I think that was the basis of the original phrase; this part is Biblical.

It's been around awhile, so it has been interpreted to mean other things than were originally intended. Some folks have taken it to mean we don't need to do anything -- we don't need to serve, we don't need to obey God, we don't need to do anything we don't feel like doing -- but that God will do anything He wants done and we are to let Him do it. THAT part is definitely unBiblical and should not be followed.

"Let go and let God," to some Christians, means to let go of whatever they are worried or troubled by and to give it to God. To place it in His hands. The Bible teaches us to not be worried or troubled, which might be where some people came up with this, but it's not a phrase that correlates with ANYTHING the Bible tells us.

On one hand, people are trying to get people to allow God to work. This is commendable, but, taken to its extreme, can be unbiblical.

We have our part to do with God. Just as James says, our faith is made complete by what we do. (James 2:22ff)

We shouldn't try to control our lives, but allow God to have His way with us. On the other hand, we should be open to God's lead in our lives.

A parked car is more difficult to move than one that is moving. Same with our walk with God.

It means to let go of our own understanding of God and let God give us His understanding. You see we humans are very much in need of God to provide all our needs. Not some of them but "ALL."
