My child already has a broken arm from playing soccer, could this be the reason for her anger at bed time. She is a great kid all day, until 8pm. Should I just forget about the issue and let her stay up?

my 2 year old sister is really smart, she can already count to ten, she knows her name and adress, and shes an amazing drawer. what i think is really strange is that she can draw perfect faces, the eyes, nose, ears, and mouth are all in the right place, and they are all the right size and shape. is this normal for a 2 year old? or do you think shes gifted in some way?

While cleaning the house this servant maid used to mutter that my one year son scatter all his toys throughout the house . It is extra work for her. she used to put his inflattable toys some where away from his reach. (just for note this servant maid doesn't have any kids so far) Even I waited for 6 years to hold my precious son. One day I found his oasis inflattable swimming pool down without any air. I found seeing the hole, it was pricked using a hair pin. I also found it near by. How should I handle this issue. I am sure only she has done that as no body came to my house. If I asked her she might stop working for me or If I didn't ask, it may become fatal for other inflattables also. How should I handle this issue. And BTW Is it possible to fix the hole. That is my favourite toy of son.

Today she rolled her eyes at me for the first time and all that did was made me even more mad.. Tonite I am so stressed out becuz she is not wanting to listen and I dont know how to get her too.. Spanking does nothing.. She doesnt like time out but in her case she'd be there all day.. I have a 2 month old that hears me yellin at her all the time and I dont want her to have to hear that.. I keep tellin my 5 yr old that life would be easier if she just listened and behave.. Even out in public she shows her butt.. always throwing tantrums and making us look bad out in public.. She has gotten me so stressed out that my body is hurting right now. So any suggestions plz?

The one that left the toilet seat up and the bathroom door open, or the one who wasn't watching her at all times?

I am told it is just as much my fault as his fault because I wasn't watching her at all times... (sorry... I was cooking lunch). I'm really not trying to steer you in any direction here - I'd like an honest answer because I'm a little dumbfounded here, but I have asked my husband REPEATEDLY to either put the toilet seat down or close the door (and he had the nerve to tell me to do it myself just last night with a different toilet incident) because my 20-month old daughter keeps playing in the toilet... GROSS!!!

PS - I am the one that found her doing this about 2 seconds after it happened...

ALSO - I'm not fighting with my husband and I'm not trying to "WIN" the fight... but I'm right, right? Haha...

My 3 !/2 year-old goes to pre-school and I try to teach him at home too as we all do, but he seems to have issues with his colors. He also likes to play around with things he does know. For instance he will know colors when he points to something outside or on TV or something, but when we ask him his colors flat out, he says them wrong. Even if we just told him the right name. He always gets Orange right and he can match different items with the same color, so we know he is not color blind. Is it too early to expect him to have this down or does anyone have any ideas that will help?

My daughter turned 2 in February. For the past four days it has taken me over an hour (for a 45 minute nap) to get her to sleep. It usually took 15-20 minutes. Her bed time has gone from 8:30pm to 9pm. She has been cranky the past 3 days. Would cutting a molar cause the sleep and/or crankiness together?

My son is getting the surgery tommorrow and I'm wondering what others' experiences are. My son had hearing tests that showed hearing loss and they are not sure if it's related to the fluid or not. When your child got the tubes - did you notice an immediate difference in their behavior and abilities in a positive way - if your child was delayed did it really help them catch up? Is there a good chance this will make a huge difference or could it be a waste of time and money? I'm doing this on doctors orders but just wondering - anyone's kids experience hearing loss from getting the tubes or other complications?

My son is going to be 2 1/2 years old the end of April. He was having temper tantrums here and there up until recently then he started having wicked tantrums where he starts shreaking and sounding like a dog being beaten. This feels like it has come out of nowhere. I can't figure out what is causing this, he isn't ignored or neglected. I am a stay-at-home mom and spend all day with him. He has a fairly regular routine of breakfast then play for the rest of the morning, lunch then nap shortly after. He usually ends up in his room for most of the afternoon since it takes him forever to actually go to sleep even though there are no toys in his room. Then supper, more playtime with myself and my hubby, he gets a bath every other night until it gets warmer out, then he has his puffers, teeth brushed and bedtime story. That is most days.

How much sleep should my 19 month old be getting? Just recently, she has stopped taking naps during the day but she sleeps 12 hours at night. Is that ok or should I try to get her back into the habit of taking naps?
I didn't plan on her to stop taking naps. She just got into this routine all by herself.

My daughter's birthday is coming up and I am at a total loss on what to get her. She isn't walking yet due to low tone and some sensory issues (she fears falling and has to hold onto something for security) and is at about the 12 month level as far as her fine motor skills go. She is currently in early intervention for this. She, too, will not sit on a toddler sized chair or anything that you ride on as her feet don't touch the floor. She already has a mountian of books (she loves books for than toys and is really inquisitive) and doesn't comprehend coloring yet or scribbling. Any ideas?

When my son's friend comes to our home, he doesn't "prefer" to engage in games outside. He just wants to watch television, and our kids do NOT. Our kids want to run and play. They hate the indoors.

My kids play outside 99.999% of the time. They ask me (or my husband on weekends) to go outside immediately after breakfast. They play in the sand box and we play football and Frisbee or tag until I get hungry and make lunch. Here's the issue:

My kids are ACTIVE, to say the least. My friends' kids ARE NOT active in any way. How can we meet in the middle? We don't want to criticize their kids, but when our children play with theirs, they just aren't happy with it. They do not want to watch television inside, all day long. More importantly, I DO NOT want to cancel playdates because of this issue.....

Help!♥

My 23month old daughter has bad decay on her top 4 front teeth--3 of 4 have broken down and of those 3, 2 are broken down to barely past gumline and 1 of those 3 is black (the other 2 barely past gumline are turning darkly discolored, too). The other one is more beige in color with the top decay eroding the enamel. She also needs crowns on top 2 molars and fillings on bottom 2 molars. I feel so bad for her! She does not ever have junk food, but my mom and sister had lots of dental work done, so dentist said could be hereditary or the night nursing (I wouldn't have done that if it wasn't recommended by another mom I work with who didn't have probs with her son's teeth and she bf til he was 3 and didn't even brush his teeth!). What do you recommend? Cap or Pull? Or a combo of the diff. teeth? I'm worried about infection/abcess or speech problems either way. Any advice?

I wipe under there really good everytime he gets a bath, but he smell's pretty bad by the end of the day. What can do for this? Do I put anything under his armpits? Do they MAKE child/toddler deodorant?
