my 3 year old does it all the time and it bothers me one time i cried because she told her dad she didnt want to live with me. My mom asked me why does she say that and so does her dad he doesnt live with us. i have no idea but I am starting to think that this is just a phase because she wants to be where there are no rules and she can get away with everything. of course grandmothers spoil the kids and her real dad feels guilty for not being there so when he gets her on sundays she can do whatever, eat whatever and he wouldnt say anything. i sat and thought was i doing anything to make her not want to stay with me and i cant think of anything i do have a 7 week old that takes up most of my attention and time. Right now she is spending a night at grandmas cause she said she didnt want to come home. i asked her why and she say CUZ. lol i just miss her

First let me just say that I'm not trying to brag. I honestly want to know if you think my 3 year (and 4 months) old daughter is smart. I have nothing to base it on, such as other children ...

She's very independent and does lots of stuff on her own like, brushing teeth, washing face & hands, dressing herself, putting shoes on. She's completely potty-trained.

She can write her name, count to 25 (and 10 in Spanish from Dora and Sesame Street), sing her ABCs, she knows her colors. She speaks in complete sentences. She knows several (kids) songs. She can draw a square, rectangle, circle, oval, triangle and heart.

And she listens to EVERYTHING! I was talking to my mom about a week ago and asked her how my niece was who had strep throat. And today, my daughter asked me if Sandra could come over and I said "no, not rght now" (because she was at dance class). And she asked if it was because she had strep throat.

Is this stuff normal for a 3 1/2 old? I just don't know. Thanks!

My daughter is 2 years old and weighs 25.2 pounds. She is a very healthy girl..her doctor has says so..she is very active and LOVES to eat. I have been getting people thinking that my daughter is starving to death, and that I am neglecting her because of her weight. She has always been a small girl ( 6 pounds 9 ozs at birth) and it gets tiresome getting accused by people of this. What can I do to get it to stop?

I have a 19 month old boy and was wondering if it's time to start potty training him. When he has a dirty diaper he comes to me to change it and I can always tell when he's dirting his diaper. How do I do this though and is it a good time?

The Grandparents have been asking me to let my 13 month old son spend the night, but I do not feel comfortable with letting him stay anywhere for very long, and for sure not all night. I'm a stay at home mom and my son is very clingy to me, would it be good for him to start getting away from me more often and staying with other people a little more often. He is with me 24/7. Did any other mom's have a hard time letting there baby spend the night with the grandparents and how old were they when they first spent the night away from home?

My baby just turned one and she switched to regular milk. The cows milk has been making her constipated. Today i bought the Lactose free milk to let her drink. I dont know if i should just let her drink the cows milk and let her get use to it until her constipation clears up. Or should i just let her drink lactose milk only? Howlong does it usually take for the constipation to clear up? Could lactose cause constipation?
